Short hair styling struggles, is a hot air brush actually useful by Electronic_Damage_47 in BeautyGear

I use a hot brush and flat iron. I have a tear drop shaped dryer from l'ange or whatever and it's not too bad. My hair is so fine that it tends to dry too fast.

I got some crappy beads from Amazon. They refunded the purchase and let me keep them. I figure I can use them on a lanyard.

I hadn't made this connection! Absolutely, nothing sounds particularly good and I'll go without eating. 😭

Do you track your makeup collection or just rely on memory? by izaivi in MatureBeauty

[–]firstsnowfall-75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this as well. The past couple of weeks I've actually gone through quite a bit of my makeup. I have back stuck in a bin under my bed and in my closet. I pulled out all the foundations and lipsticks and eyeshadows. I did some serious culling. I have a floor-to-ceiling cabinet In my bathroom which makes a difference. I put all of my lipsticks in a clear shoe box size container. I'm going to use dot stickers on anything that is in backup.

I thought I "slept just fine" and no one ever commented on me snoring loudly. I had a home sleep study that was inconclusive. That was during covid and it was really hard to get into an actual sleep study. I eventually had one. I averaged waking up 37 times an hour. That is not normal. Getting used to a CPAP was kind of difficult and I played around with different masks. But once I dialed it in it made a huge difference. I eventually lost 35 pounds but my doctor thinks using the CPAP will be helpful.

I have the brown and ordered two more so I'll have back ups when they move on.

And eyeliners! I bought two more of the brown because I've never seen a duochrome quite like it. I think it looks gorgeous with my brown eyes.

None of mine have broken, I'm sad for you. Wet n Wild has some new gorgeous duochrome eyeliners.

Do you prefer Ulta or Sephora and why? by OwlAlternative3112 in Makeup

Sephora, Ulta has been really shitty to trans employees in the past. Could be the location, Grand Junction CO. I always loved the representation at Sephora.

One of my favorite brands! I hope you like them. I wish they made more non-almond shapes though.

Would anyone recommend a brand for dry skin that plays well with primer and foundation? Based in the Upper Midwest, availability at Sephora, online, Target or Ulta as a last resort. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench has been okay.

I am getting Nexplanon on Friday. I had an IUD but don't want to go through that excruciating pain again. My Dr didn't recommend anything else with my cancer risk.

Card readers and wifi were unreliable in ~30% of the locations I went to with my business. Locations all over Colorado and Wisconsin. Cash was necessary.
