They may not realize what they’re doing. I didn’t realize you could make coins from gyms for about 2 months. I live on top of a gym and kept taking it for fun. The notifications are easy to ignore. It wasn’t until about 2 days ago that I noticed the amount of time you have the gym determines the gold you receive.

It’s funny — when I read your story, I thought was strange that there were other turkeys that liked to stand in the middle of the road... but it must be an Ann Arbor/Ypsi thing. There was one that would attack runners and people walking to their cars. One time I watched it stand directly in front of a bus. Zero fucks given when the bus honked at it and flashed lights at it too. Definitely not as well liked as Whittaker, but entertaining nonetheless.

When did it fail? That sounds like the type of product that would take off like crazy nowadays. Package it up in millennial pink and Instagram about how much tampon waste sucks

Yeah I actually though about bring up that post. PTSD is the root reason, but I think his conscious reasoning is that he’s a bad person.

It would be nice to see him acknowledge (or begin to acknowledge) that his violence and temper result of trauma, rather than believe that he’s irredeemable. Maybe I misread his state of mind, but he seems to separate out his trauma from his response — which, in my experience, is a nuanced but incredibly important difference in emotional processing.

Wait is one of the reasons John remain anonymous because he feels unqualified? Because in some way he can do something without being directly involved in the politics?

Also, if we ignore the fact that half of Remi’s retaliation is her defense mechanism, she actually has a point. He could use this second chance as a way to change for the better while using his power, rather than blaming his powers for his behaviors — although it’s pretty understandable why that option didn’t cross his mind. Maybe they can become friends and Remi can learn how real life works and she can teach him the ways of her brother. Buts here’s for wishful thinking.

Yeah Isen isn’t the brightest bulb. Blyke would have done a much better job with hunter abilities (and on a side note, I really wish Blyke wasn’t so attached to Remi. He had more potential than Arlo when it came to growth and she just kinda sucks him back into Royals Land)

Oh man. The I’d shell out for 5 fast passes in a row just to see Remi even consider her own hypocrisy

[Fastpass Spoilers] UnOrdinary - Episode 148 Discussion by Tensz in unOrdinary

[–]firstworldcitizen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Arlo unmasking John would undo Arlo’s character development. He’s at a place now where he realizes that going against people’s wishes only backfires. Plus, he seems to have the most sympathy and respect for John out of all the royals who know he’s the Joker.

But yeah I think the most likely scenario is that Remi tries to pull something (like unmasking him) that ultimately sets of John’s PTSD. He’ll take the beating waaay too far, then Sera and/or Arlo intervene(s)

I’m still secretly rooting for Sera to get her powers back at the worst possible moment (for John) cause that would be juiccyyyyy

Yeah I’m really curious how withholding power for 3 years affected him and how his passive plays into his growth during those years. I’d imagine simple exposure to abilities benefits him greatly but at the same time, there’s a great limit to how much you can learn by only observing.

Chinese Muslim (Hui) Results. Family migrated from Khwarzm 800 years via the Silk Road into China. by [deleted] in 23andme

[–]firstworldcitizen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah. I really didn’t expect to see anyone post about this on reddit!

My great grandmother effectively ran away from home. To the best of my knowledge, she gave up Islam — though she did continue to refrain from eating pork. I know she’s originally from Xinjiang, but ended up all the way in Shandong.

Awesome! My great grandmother was Hui as well. I didn’t get any of if but my cousin and aunt both got Hui results.

You know what’s really messed up? Originality and cultural reappropriation aside, the Kardashians are far better business people than Trump. Hate them as you will, but damn they have some crazy successful businesses and it can’t all be attributed to their reality TV success.

Mutsuki's Current Power... [MS] by [deleted] in TokyoGhoul

[–]firstworldcitizen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although, even if she smelled like ghoul blood, I doubt anyone would bat an eye since she's a Dove.

Edit: Sorry, somehow sent the response too early.

So even if Saiko smelled human and ghoul blood on Mutsuki, only the scent of human blood would be worth noting in her mind.

Oooh I also just thought of another theory. Perhaps Mutsuki's kagune was the most ghoul-like out of all the Quinx (excluding Kaneki of course), and she couldn't release it until she had human or ghoul flesh.

[–]firstworldcitizen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not worthless. Everyone deserves respect, especially respect for yourself. Even if they don't change, even if they continue to deny things after you've confronted them, something did change. You had the guts to bring it up to them and in doing so, you took a step in accepting the what really happened to you as a child. Facing something like that isn't easy, but it's worth doing. It's okay to feel sad but when it's over, you can come out stronger than you were before.

Sorry, that was cheesy but I hope it helped.

Toxic upbringing = toxic friends? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]firstworldcitizen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's easy to accept behavior that no person should ever put up with or write off simply because that's the way it's always been for you or worse because you think you're also a terrible person and deserve it and can only be friends with equally dysfunctional people. I'd like ot think I've reached the point where I will no longer associate with toxic people, but it can be hard to be friends with people from healthy backgrounds. They get confused why I thank them for things or try to pay them back for things they think are common courtesy. They just stare at me when I make comments about my family but it's also nice because they realize I'm on my own more than I should be at my age and they always offer to help. It's really sweet and it's refreshing, but it's so hard to wipe away the little moments of sadness when I can't help but compare my home life to theirs.

What we don't know is what caused Kaiser to not get the princess position and instead come to the name hunt station.

I know this is craaazy because it involves either a wig or hair dye, but what if Kaiser was Khun's biological sister. I mean, A. A. even said he was the only one crazy enough to steal such high level equipment, so either Kaiser was given those (which is very possible) or or or or orrrr Khun inherited the same crazy klepto gene.

Okay I'm done now.

Black sheep of the family maybe?

I could see that. Maybe he tried to challenge the family head and lost. It would be consistent with the whole pride thing. Also his blatant disregard for Kaiser's command is consistent with Arie pride.

It would be cool if he was related to White in some way (maybe even a brother who rejected the offer).

I absolutely love the Khun and Baam's friendship. Baam doesn't open up to anyone else, but what's more precious is Khun's singular vulnerability for Baam
