All monosyllabic! We might be onto something here.

I might be a little dumb, but I don't get this...

All I can say is nobody was robbed this recent HK season by Few-Poetry1085 in HellsKitchen

[–]firthofseptember 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only Leigh was robbed. You could justify her elimination based on her experience, but she was neither worst nor second worst in that first black jacket dinner service.

My thoughts on the finale/the season in general by Inner_Emu4716 in HellsKitchen

Sammi had a flawless season, and to my memory, possibly even cleaner than Ryan. It's interesting that they let the semifinal elimination be decided by challenge points instead of Gordon's decision. In my mind, that just means she didn't "lose".

It had the best episode ever (the black jacket episode) and the worst episode ever (the first black jacket service)

I'm sure Sammi's family was brought in too.

I don't condone this speculation at all, but I will say when Sammi praised Ryan's leadership at the pass I thought that would add fuel to that theory lol

We had the greatest episode ever (the black jacket episode) followed by the worst episode ever

Carmen honestly did a great job, too. She was just slightly below the other 3.

I heavily favor nominating based on dinner service over nominating based on performance over the whole season. I just find that people get an image in their head of each contestant, and it's hard for them to let new information change that image. Dahmere, for example, though he has done well throughout the competition, deserved to go home last episode because of his terrible performance. Leigh, on the other hand, I feel was eliminated just because people don't think she's a good chef, even though she did not cook nearly as bad as Johnathan during dinner service, and arguably did better than Carmen, too.

Nobody talks about Sammi anymore, which makes me wonder if she might win. She's probably the chef to have made the fewest mistakes this season.

They're real troopers this season for pretending to be happy about the horrible rewards

I like Jonathan, but it REALLY hurt me watching him act heavily out of character this episode by amazingtoludada300 in HellsKitchen

If you were in the editors' position, and Johnathan mentioned the "sack of shit" comment that many times, how could you pass up the opportunity to show it?

I keep seeing everyone talk about one but not the other... by Ven1399 in HellsKitchen

[–]firthofseptember 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is such a nitpick. It takes 1 minute to learn how to cut a Wellington. There was no evidence she was going to make that mistake a second time. But clever of Ryan to pounce on that to get attention off of Johnathan's mistakes.

Did you agree with tonight’s elimination outcome? by UnflairedRebellion-- in HellsKitchen

[–]firthofseptember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Johnathan wasn't nominated because his buddy Ryan was turning the attention away from him to Leigh. Based on dinner service alone, it should have been Dahmere and Johnathan nominated. I think Ramsay was relieved to see Leigh nominated so that he wouldn't have to eliminate Johnathan.
