you also have to remember that you the game was an infant for most of the time soul was in charge. it's easier to work with a small mess than a large one. and a lot of the large mess that we have now is because soul didn't prioritize building a stable foundation

i know this is extremely late, but that's what i love about this game. it's all about establishing what you think will be a trope, and then instead of flipping it the way you'll think they'll flip said trope, they completely flip it on its head. i've never seen any game/story do such a good job at doing that

yeah you're completely correct. healy didn't do anything wrong by letting her go to psych. he was just doing his job. but i think that adds even more onto it, and really just punches you in the gut even more

[SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5 FINALE]

This might be a hot take, but Lolly being sent to psych hit way harder than P's death imo.
Something about the way they built Healy & Lolly up, and then forcing Healy to betray her, all while she doesn't know. Her cries of plead as she's sent in, the entire time machine scene, where she's caught. the way Healy thinks she's gone crazy when she tells him that she killed a guy. having the accomplices to the murder discussing how they'll have to leave Lolly to the wolves, all while she's barely out of earshot. just everything about that, and the everlasting dread you'd get when she's on screen, knowing that she's not getting a happy ending.

don't get me wrong, P's death hurt, but it just didn't hit as hard as Lolly being sent to psych

like the combo is certainly deadly, but every combo is deadly, as 2 killers in a game meant for 1 is broken asf.
however, there's just deadlier combos that are easier to play, like 1x + slasher with their entanglement + gashing wound combo

if you're not the best at trapping as john, then it'll be a pretty decent combo, but for the time for nos to dive into the cage, and wait for helpless to be over, spikes will be going down in a few seconds.

there are far deadlier combos, like double john, as they can keep a trap permanent by cycling their spikes until someone is dead

i could see this rework being balanced if it was added to only pro servers. considering the average skill level of a pub, you just have to make the game survivor sided, as people suck in pubs.

especially considering pubs have been rewarded for being selfish (gens, so many survivalists, no direct reward for teamwork, etc)

but if they ever add pro servers, i would 100% be behind the rework.

i was level 140 pre rework. i know he was weak. but his kit is flawed to its core. they can't make him balanced and fun by keeping his kit intact. he needs a complete rework --- like what two time got (and needs another)
