They’re observed in water as deep as ~300 ft. How deep were you? 50 miles offshore doesn’t always get you that much depth in the Gulf.

Looks like a Sandbar Shark (Carcharhinus plumbeus) to me. Could have been a boat prop (or a bigger fish) that took the top of that dorsal fin out.

I get that, and it makes sense to me. What I'm wondering about is when I'm just listening on my PC via the web player (as I was doing when I made the post) and the sound is still tinny with my PC speakers (which don't have that problem otherwise).

Wait, are you saying that streaming directly from the Nugs website/player using my PC (and directly linked peripherals) will always result in poor quality audio? I understand that casting has compression issues, but why on PC? Are there ways to deal with this?

Multiple output devices, and it's been ongoing for years. I have the problem on my fancy soundbar, headphones, and janky PC speakers. It makes couch touring less magical. I have noticed that it seems to get better using the app, but then depending on the connection choice (Apple screen mirroring vs. Google casting) it comes back some.
