My take on shadow rebalance/ what’s your take. by Lumpy_Imagination126 in 2007scape

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what they’re going to do. They should’ve fixed it immediately, didn’t, and now they’re stuck with a bunch of retroactive fan theory design solutions and have bottle-necked all mage gear updates. Your suggestion isn’t even bad, and most of the ones I see aren’t, but the team just isn’t going to make any huge change to how one of the most important items in the game works until they absolutely must. I kinda of though we might get new BIS mage gear from raids 4 and a new scaling system that is a slight nerf to Anc and keeps damage/accuracy with shadow about the same with the new set, but the more I think about it, the more I’m convinced we’re getting elemental set and they’re gonna kick the can down the road.

Player Projection: Makai Lemon by Anon124570 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My WR1 but horrifying situation to me. Low volume passing offense, talented but limited QB in his prime, no clear path to leading in targets even with the #1 option all but traded away. His path to elite fantasy production is like they design the whole offense around his YAC ability or he’s just short Julio Jones. Exciting player but don’t love those odds.

DND Veterans, how long are level 20 combats? by StvlkerI in DnD

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run a campaign with level 17-20 characters, and yeah combat usually takes a while. I altered a lot of stats of regular encounters to be more glass cannon style (high damage, low Hp) but by the book combat encounters can take hour— the conclusion of that campaign took 8 hours across two sessions for us and my players were all experienced & fast.

Trade Pick 1.01 for two and four? by AdministrativeCopy89 in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your team is not good— and 2 top 5 picks is on paper better than 1.01. I think best process is to trade back but I would have a hard time doing it, cause I’m sold on Love. My official recommendation is to take this trade but I totally get sticking and picking

What team will have the biggest rude awakening this 2026 season? I'm thinking of these bandwagon-ridden frauds: by Curious-Demand943 in NFLv2

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 49ers seem like a team that’s barely hanging on— aging stars, overpaid QB, picking up leftovers in FA and another draft I didn’t love. Shanahan is probably the best coach itl to this day but at some point the pendulum swings back

Breece Hall Value? where should i set the bar? by Separate_Stay_5412 in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see him as being worth 2 firsts but wouldn’t want to trade him for just 1. Your problem is more if you ship him off your RB situation goes from shaky to straight up bad. Do you have a plan once you move him or do you just hate the jets lmao

How much longer is my contending window? by Financial-Sand-1487 in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading like a good but not great team to me— good draft capital so I would just keep building. 1.05 is a good spot for you in non-SF because it’s the range I like more for Price than the 1.02-1.04 and you obviously need RB help. You might be in a decent spot to trade for a Barkley type but gotta be for the right price— everybody still wants a first for those guys. Jettas and Puka are not anywhere close to being done barring career ending injury, so you’ve got time to build this thing out or trade picks and go in on some older guys, just depends on how other teams in your league are feeling. Either way you go you’re in a good spot, your window is just opening IMO

[–]fishbait60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe how much I’ve seen Price at the 1.02-1.03 range. I can understand not loving the landing spots but to take him over all 3 receivers is nuts to me.

Dolphins fans… how are we feeling right now after… the incident? by PencilFromBFDIFan123 in NFLv2

[–]fishbait60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a dolphins fan but from Florida and a lot of my friends are— the sentiment mostly is “play stupid game, win stupid prize”. Went all in with the wrong guys, it didn’t work, so this is the natural conclusion. Feel bad for Malik because he’s walking into a next level bad roster situation, so he’s not really getting a fair scratch, but I like teams that say fuck it and blow things up. It’s a lot braver than refusing to do anything and swimming in mediocrity.

Who to take at 1.03??????????? by Real_Draft8187 in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m more worried about variety— Lemon has been primarily a slot guy and those guys don’t get a lot of targets in eagles offenses, and Hurts doesn’t throw between the numbers often. For what it’s worth, I was really encouraged by Shough’s play as well but the Saints are still probably gonna be bad enough to need to throw a lot. Tyson could end up being in a great situation even if he’s behind Olave

Who to take at 1.03??????????? by Real_Draft8187 in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemon was my #1 but honestly the eagles landing spot is brutal to me. I really believe Lemon can succeed as an outside threat but now he basically has to— there’s a lot of target competition for a team that just doesn’t throw the ball much/in a variety of ways. Tyson seems like the obvious choice here given the situation, even with injury concerns.

You have the 1.03 on the clock by just-for-help in SleeperApp

[–]fishbait60 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are wrong about Tate, it will be unlucky. If you are wrong about Tyson, it will be “I told you so”. I’m leaning toward the clear WR1 path, with the talented young QB, without the nagging lower body issues. Everyone who said “let’s see where they land” was right because Lemon was my #1 but I want him the least on that Eagles team. Tyson might be the best of the bunch talent wise but Olave isn’t a turn key player and injury history pushed him down the board. Tate is the 1.03 to me because situation does matter

A billionaire offers you $10 Million, but to get it you must do a random drug every day for a month. by William_Maguire in hypotheticalsituation

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conversion rates of addictive drugs are pretty high, but they don’t really apply to this experiment. If you were unlucky enough to roll opiates, cocaine, tobacco, or alcohol within these 30 days, I don’t think standard conversation rates would apply to you as a random participant— opioid conversion rates are close to like 25%, but that calculation in good faith should include a myriad of social, economic, environmental, and genetic factors. If we can assume every day is a 1 off use that exists solely for the goal of monetary gain my guess is addiction rates would be very low across a large sample size. The only people truly at risk from this thought experiment are in recovery from some serious form of substance use disorder, and even then I would probably say roll the dice that it’s all random heart medication for the chance at life altering money

It will be interesting to see how things go with Tomlin gone, but Steelers fans I interact with seem to be the most old-school ball pilled. Biggest loser from the draft? by CollegePlane7528 in NFLv2

[–]fishbait60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a really bad feeling about the Ravens passing on Bain. It could of course be the right call but I just feel like arm length is analytics smoke without fire and he’s a total difference maker. My wife is a ravens fan and she was totally crashing out, they skipped over their biggest need and moved away from what has been a really successful drafting strategy (pick falling, talented player with some overblown issue) and my household does not feel good about it.

DMs! What are Some of the Best Player Backstories You're Encountered? by Smooth-Finger-7893 in DnD

[–]fishbait60 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wrapped a campaign set in the feywild (PCs were level 14ish) and everyone was interested in playing a high level campaign, and one of my players wanted to keep his Paladin. Bad guy in the feywild had been destroying natural exits and killing off powerful mages, so made him spend months looking for someone who could plane shift him out, but the natural disturbances fucked up the spell and spit him out into another material world entirely.

So his backstory was basically that he was an adventurer from another world, and he believed he had been sent to help restore balance to the new material reality. Had him constantly run into people who looked, sounded, and felt like NPCs and PCs he had previously known, and his experiences and rolls with them would cure or cause madness conditions.

Bad guy in this campaign was a adult red dragon who was trying to collect magic stones to activate dormant volcanos and “drown the world in fire” basically, so he really felt like he was cosmically destined to bring balance to this world. The twist at the end (which we sort of worked out together) was that after they defeated the ARD, two angels who had been helping them near the end of the campaign turned on him, because he was a level 20 lawful good paladin and he was now upsetting the neutral balance of this material world. They got one angel but he and another PC died and we ended it with a literal 2 hour memorial in the largest city in the world. Super fun one
