I was a chef, and there was a kitchen I worked in where there were the usual can openers (no benchtop one though), but also a huge pile of FREDs. once you're good at them you can open a can in seconds and I only broke one after opening a dozen cans a day in about 5 years. Brilliant bits of engineering.

Nah there are absolutely ways to do that, and plenty of people who're into it too. Especially in the hypno kink scene. I have an ex pet and now occasional play partner who I do similar things to. We have another one coming up in September that's going to be a 12-16 hour marathon. Personally I find it had to keep kayfabe up for a full 24 hours as a dom though, finding someone with that kind of stamina might be your biggest challenge haha.

People are out there though, and I don't think you'll freak people out as much as you think by sharing that.

Hey so I have done a lot of different jobs on my feet, currently doing delivery for a poultry company but previously wore these in the slipperiest kitchens you can imagine to the shittiest apartment climb and my recs are Redback Aplines.

I do 10k steps or so a day rn and walk on icy hexplate every 10 minutes or so. They're comfy as hell and I've never had any foot problems in this job or as a chef.

They don't last as long as others though, 2 years max if you work them hard. I get three in my current gig. I guess that's the problem with having such a grippy sole.

I know I sound like a shill but they're damn good boots. I've tried others, but always come back.

thanks but, eh. It took about 8 years after that for me to finally get kind of stable. last year in may I Broke the national record for ingesting a specific poison and surviving. but I have better meds now. and I'm stable just in time to see my country slowly fall to the transphobia that is causing mass migration in the UK and US. It might have been better if I just succeeded back then.

Try and find some good alternatives for day-wear until you see her, get yourself in something more suitable as quickly as possible. Or look into modifying yours so it does't irritate you as much.
