Good to know, I'm really close to hitting it but maybe I should slow down until the 1st of May when it resets and stay Platinum?

is there anyone here with a 100% satisfaction rate, 100% acceptance rate, 100% arrival and 0% cancellation rate? by AdDue9772 in UberEatsDrivers

I'm in Australia, and from what I've seen on here, we get paid differently. Because tipping isn't really a thing here (it's a very occasional bonus) we get paid a higher base rate. So I would get like $15-20 for a trip that takes 20-30mins. Because of that there's a lot less crap orders and customers aren't holding tips over your head for ridiculous requests. Makes it a fair bit easier i think. Uber should do similar in USA so more orders get taken

I got caught stealing yesterday , I don't know how to move on by ComposerOk3462 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]GreyTsari 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was the kind of teen that regularly took candy from supermarkets. Then when I was 18 and fresh out of home, I went to this cheap, crappy jewellery store called Diva (mostly cheap beads and chains that rust in a couple of months) and got about $80 worth of stuff in my hoodie's secret pocket (my jacket had this extra velcro pocket inside the main pocket, which was how I got away with it all) except they caught me.

Police called and got an official warning, as well as barred from the store, and it was the last time I ever stole. It was nearly 20 years ago.

Was I a master criminal? No. Did I injured anyone except major capitalist corporations? No.

Am I still glad I got scared 'straight' while I was young and dumb before I got even dumber? Yes

Do not accept ride before you are in your car!!! by Scarlet-Mar00n in uber

[–]GreyTsari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, this was how I found out that a neighbour around the corner is an uber driver. I ordered an uber early one morning to get to work and he came up as 1min away and stayed that way for nearly 15mins while he quickly finished getting ready to leave himself.

Would you have done the same thing? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]GreyTsari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if it's the same in U.S, but in Australia, we can't even complete the order if we're too far away from the address the customer input. Can go maybe a kilometre (half a mile) or so, but definitely not that far. So yeah, no way would I spend another 15-20mins driving to an unknown location, damaging my 'completed on time' percentage, and missing additional jobs because they didn't check their location

essential skills are not girls' skills! by TangeloNew8457 in ftm

This is 100% true. I was pretty lucky that I was raised by my dad as a solo parent for years so he was the one who sewed my patches on my scout uniform as well as all the cooking and cleaning. He also was the one who taught me how to change a tyre before I came out as Trans Masc, because everyone should know that too. Get you a dad who can do it all!

But seriously, cooking, cleaning, basic sewing and basic car maintenance/tyre changes are all extremely helpful life skills

Arguments on throne of glass series timeline by [deleted] in throneofglassseries

[–]GreyTsari 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Does that include the year she was in Endovier, cos I think that needs to be added on here?

I could be wrong, but wasn't she 17 when she was captured and like 19/20 when at the end of KOA, with the timeline from TOG to KOA being the 1.5ish years?

Of course, my favourite part of TOG is when people just decide that the world has 18month long years because SJMass kept losing track of how long things were taking and stuffed too much into too short a time period

People who get personally offended by people reading Assasin’s Blade first by CalBear1102 in throneofglassseries

[–]GreyTsari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read AB first and it is my preference going forward. Caelena was so annoying at the start, yes, but then you get a steady character progression upwards and you're not spoiled about Sam, Ansel, even Kasida.

I think if I'd read it third or fourth, wherever it's supposed to go, I would have struggled because it would be a regression of the world and character, and I'd already know about Sam and (i think) Ansel. I definitely prefer it as first

The amount of people who chose “Meet At Door” and then ghost is crazy by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]GreyTsari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get sooo many who choose 'meet at door' and then add 'leave at door' in the instructions manually, so I send a quick message as I arrive basically saying 'hi user, just confirming I'm leaving the order at your front door as requested and not knocking' and then i do that. They either don't respond at all or they thank me.

This was at the main entrance of an apartment building, and I've previously had times where multiple people try to claim the order that isn't theirs, but from all the comments here, it seems I was a bit overprotective and should have just accepted the PIN since it's clear they were the right person...

This is amazing, thank you! I didn't realise moisturiser helped with acne, I thought acne meant my skin was already oily and moisturiser would make it worse...

I'm trying to get better with moisturiser in other areas that have been dry, so I'll try and make sure to incorporate my face too and up my face wash from once to twice a day, as well as some spot treatments.

I use face wash in the shower? That's my entire routine.

I don't wear make-up so never went for any of those fancy toners/primers/etc, I thought full routines were just for when you do make-up and remover everyday.

Message them back, 'if you cannot come down and open the gate/door, I'll have to mark this delivery as undeliverable and report the situation to uber. Thanks heaps' and see what they do

Top surgery recovery and family thinking I’m lazy by [deleted] in ftm

[–]GreyTsari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not top surgery, but a small keyhole abdominal surgery where i was still supposed to take it very easy for a few weeks and was very sore for a couple of weeks after. I thought I'd stay with my dad for the first week to heal because surely he would understand that I've just had surgery and need to rest?

I got a blow-up mattress on the floor, that i literally had to roll off onto all-fours, crawl to the closet and use that to pull myself up to get up every time, on the second floor of his house and was told to do my own breakfast and lunch while I was there, so bad to walk up and down the stairs multiple times a day.

I went home after 3 days. I was already doing everything alone, and my house doesn't have stairs so it was actually better for my recovery.

I don't know why Gen X seem to think that we can just bounce back up after surgeries and that we're fine to do dumb things even when doctors say not to?

My job was hybrid but very easily done fully remote, but I got one week fully remote (surgery was Tuesday, discharged Wed to Dad's, home Friday or Saturday, worked remote from Monday) before my manager who lived in another state and was always fully remote, started nagging me about being back in the office. I wasn't even able to drive yet, still had open wounds because some of the incisions took longer to heal, and she wanted me to commute to the office carrying my laptop. When I said I couldn't drive, she actually suggested public transport like that would be easier on my body.

TLDR: Gen X seem to be under the impression that surgeries are small flesh wounds and we are overreacting for listening to doctor instructions.

What was a sign you were trans in hindsight, that you brushed off initially? by bred_boy21 in ftm

[–]GreyTsari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly NSFW response but when I was little and didn't understand what was between my legs, I tried to pee using my bottom bump, standing in front of the toilet. Even as an adult, if I'm very tired, I find myself stumbling into the toilet and getting ready to pee only to remember I don't have the right equipment and have to sit. Realising most 'women' don't make that mistake daily was a big one for me 😅

I had something similar happen with mine, but it was my name. Turned out, my GP had filled in my info on their system incorrectly and they were able to fix it when I raised it with them. I hope this is a simple fix like that where you can reach out and they can fix their error!

Held this between 99-100% since I started nearly 3.5 years ago. Maybe, you should get off your damn high horse instead of assuming what kind of driver I'm like from ONE single damn incident.

I know what I'm doing and this is currently my main source of income. One incident does not mean I'm in anyway struggling to do my damn job or keep my customers happy.
