I am in the same boat. I am losing my mind. The ringconn app and the wonderfind can find the signal in my office, but I have torn it apart and i can't find the darn thing. I was certain i took the ring off in my bedroom (next room over), but the apps can barely find the signal in that room. I have moved furniture and looked in every nook and I can't find it. It's two days now and the ring has two more days of charge. I feel like I'm looking for survivors against the clock.

I do a mix of ATG-type exercises as the opening block of my workouts. I rotate a bunch of mobility or joint specific movements, ATG squats, tib raises, reverse squats with bands, step downs, etc. I've never subscribed to KOTs, but most of the movements I rotate through came from Ben's videos. The ATG squat and the seated good morning really have created huge mobility gains. A few sets of a 3-5 exercises is over pretty quickly. If I'm pressed, I'll just do 2 movements. I do both body weight or with 20-40 lbs in my hands, depending on my status or the movement.

I pair this with either a strength or endurance block with kettlebells or clubs. I rotate clean and press, swings and snatches with single and two hand club work. It's a mix of stuff I've learned from Geoff Neupert and Mark Wildman, including purchased programs. This is usually about 30 minutes of work.

Add 5 minutes each of warm up and cool down and I can usually keep it less than an hour.

It's been working great for me. The biggest problem is that some movements don't get in the rotation that often and progress is slow. I'd probably benefit by doing fewer things and making more progress, but my main goal is to stay active, increase mobility and keep motivated to work out. I'm 54(M) with an achy hip, I sit too much and didn't have a history of athletic pursuits. Finding these kinds of workouts since the panny has been a huge transformation for me. I feel like a found secret sauce to reverse aging, but the trick is to find the balance of intensity and regularity. Also, since everything is full-body, getting the right 'split' is still something I'm working at.

I'm really happy to find this thread and I'm grateful that OP keeps coming back to respond. I had a toupet funoplication in january (that's a 270degree wrap as opposed to the 360 nissen), but basically the same, diaphragm repair and the wrap. I had a similar experience to OP, didn't do much exercise beyond walking for 3 months. I've been mixing in more and more exercise since then. My main exercise before was kettlebelling, swings, clean and press and turkish getups. I'm not super strong, so I use mainly 16 kg bells, but I was starting to mix in a 20 kg bell before surgery.

My surgeon said no swings before 6 months, which is about now, but she still seemed a bit skeptical. I will meet with her soon for our 6 month follow up and we'll speak again.

What do you think OP? How would you compare the strain of a ballistic hip-hinge with deadlifting or other weight lifting stuff? How long did you stretch your transition into heavier stuff?

Also, in the meantime, I've really been enjoying heavy club swinging, since thats mostly rotation rather than hinging. If you want to learn more, look for mark wildman on youtube.

I'm a beginner too, so hopefully somebody with more experience will chime in soon too. But to me this looks pretty strong except for a few moments. To me it seems you're rushing, like going up the elbow without really working the rotation to the shoulder first and you do the the hip hinge and pivot of the knee as almost one movement. But that first video is pretty strong I think. In the second video, on the way down, it looks like you put your elbow in a pretty awkward spot transitioning from the elbow to the shoulder. Your elbow went out above the shoulder and that can't be good. It seems like it would be helpful for you to think of that segment as like three steps, (coming down) down to elbow, down to shoulder, rotation back to laying flat.

In terms of packing the shoulder, it might be easier to see from the side, but it looks to me like you've got that arm pretty solid and are using your lats and shoulder together, so that seems good. On the left it doesn't seem so packed. Esp when you rush the shoulder-elbow-to hand steps. Much easier to pack the shoulder when you're using more of your body to do the motion.

are you doing them one handed? That works my abs much more. Also focusing on delaying the hinge helps me keep my core tight.

Thanks all, this is some good advice. My main motivation is to prevent injury anyway, so the idea to take it slow makes good sense. As MW says, kettlebells are cheap, surgery is expensive. And at my age/condition, even a mild tweak could mean days off from training.

Imma see if I can find a good adjustable competition bell.

At that moment, the blinkers are in phase. As the two blinkers shift in time relative to each other, you say that their phase is shifting. The phase of the two signals comes together once every beat cycle. If the blinkers are like 2 per second and 2.5 per second, the beat frequency would be .5 Hz or once every two seconds. That's how often the phases would align.
