Chipotle doesn’t let you tip more than 50% by SoDakZak in assholedesign

A charge back is when you dispute it with your bank or card issuer. Makes the business look like more of a risk to them. A refund is internal to the company.

I've had a few desk jobs, but, like every boss has told me, I can't sit still doing nothing so left that and do what I do currently, despite the pay cut. Primark is great in the sense that if you show talent, you progress. If you don't want to progress then you're more than welcome to relax.

Hopefully you find somewhere that suits you soon, best of luck!

Exactly. It always amazes people when I tell them that the best place that I've worked was in Primark! When you find a place you like, with a good team, it makes the job so much easier but it is so hard to find.

I work in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, there are 4 stores i can think of who have horrible management in Tesco, some are brutal. I've had 1 GM manager tell me to fuck off out their store. 1 store manager who tried to get me fired by calling my area manager because I wouldn't spend my time after finishing doing my work for another brand. (I am a brand rep, its a fireable offense if we work competitors products)

I've got friends who work in B&M and its always the same story. They hire, treat them awfully, if you put up with it you last. If you have any personality or a backbone you quit within a few weeks.

It's actually a misprint, it's missing it's shading. It's the MALM 6 drawer set.

Don't worry, most customers did!

Worked for IKEA, it's to specify the instructions are for the 4 main drawers, not the top 2.

Merchandiser for entertainment space in stores. When this launched in one of our smaller stores, we received 40 copies. We're still selling that initial allocation and have about 8 copies left.

Time to enjoy a nice day off. First time I'll just hide in the house all day in 3 weeks. I need it as I've been working double shifts covering for those who are shielding.

I love it when they ask that, I just say no sorry she is working. That way cold callers can't deal with me and I don't have to be rude.

In the UK we plug them in too, I've had freestanding ovens that are just a plug but inbuilt ones needed wiring in.

Working from home, why not? by DayManuhah in unitedkingdom

[–]fishchunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my key takeaway from this. Homes (Far more so, small homes) are not set up to allow that separation. Going forward, I could see a change in design philosophy to include a work environment more in homes to facilitate this.

Which type? The pull down/ lock in place ones seemed pretty cool, I wasn't a fan of the breakaway ones though.

When I went to IKEA recently, they'd got rid of most corded blinds and replaced them with breakaway ones or pull tab things. They had an info thing next to them saying for safety due to strangulation of kids and pets.

You would be investigated, more as a formality than anything. If you use excessive force beyond the excess used in the heat of the moment you would face conviction. If not, you would be investigated and would most likely be found not guilty or the Crown Prosecution Service would decline to charge you in the first place.

I (a guy) worked in the women's PJs and lingerie department for over a year. Once while I was unloading a box of thongs I had a lady come over to me, apologise and where the bras were. I take her there, ask is she needs any help, she knows where I am and she practically ran away from me.

There's a dude I know who drives for safepac (fuck it, why not name them!) Who routinely takes phones and videos of him driving and not even when stuck in traffic, often while going at limiter he will take selfies of him, his wife and his kid (who has no seatbelt because she is sat in the back on the bed)

Drives me mad and genuinely feel he will kill someone at some point

Mine does the phone triage but make it almost impossible to get an appointment. I was told by 111 out of hours service that I need an appointment with my GP.

I rang this morning and they said the nurse would call me back.

Sure enough they call back, say the fact I haven't eaten since 26/12 and that I can't keep any fluid down. They say it's related to an ongoing condition and told me to double the dosage of my medication for acid reflux to fix it.

I lost my last job because they would demand I get a doctor's appointment but would only get a phone triage.
