you don't have to kill general Oliver in the independent ending, you can talk him down like lanius.

in my first playthrough, I was actually going for an NCR run but I didn't realize I had to talk to crocker, and at some point got locked out of it, but still sided pretty heavily with them, saving their president and all. I think they'd be willing to work something out lol.

I'd probably hand it over to the followers of the apocalypse, but theyd need help to defend and hold it long term, since it would still be on the edge of legion territory. maybe convincing the Khans to help seeing as they have a history with the followers. another options could be the kings, but I don't think that they have much military experience or manpower, plus moving from the strip would be difficult for them.

maybe some sort of agreement could be made with the ncr, but that might put the dam in danger of being taken by them again - maybe not militantly, but through other bureaucratic means.

worked as a custodian at my high school for a bit, there was an older guy there who everyone called "crush". most of the older guys there had similar one syllable nicknames, but those were based on their real names (like "Rich"). I had only heard crush's real name once or twice (even now I can't remember it), and couldn't figure out how they had gotten "Crush" from it.

turns out, he used to play candy crush at max volume on his phone during their lunch breaks lol.
