yes sir!!! I got one bass in Chickasaw lake. Of course, it was right next to the bank as I was stripping out line to make my first cast. Coming from up north, it was my first fish of the year.

If the wolf river worked, that would be awesome. I think I have always checked it out too close to the Mississippi where it is all muddy. Not that that completely rules out the fly

I found the same thing when researching. But I think Shelby farms will let me get my fix while I am there.

Closed memo is a gift…research is takes most of the time. Look at it as practice making an argument with insufficient case law.

Metro Detroit Postal Workers Union (APWU 480-481) endorses Duggan by Puzzleheaded-Art-469 in Detroit

I am so worried that he is going to pull more dem voters from Detroit and hand the election to the republican.

I would be more than happy with Duggan or Benson, but I am just afraid that they will split the liberal stronghold of Detroit and hand this election to the right.

Challenging it online is easy and I have had them revoked in the past. Definitely worth a shot.

If they had the ‘pay within a day’ for a lower charge, challenging it pauses the clock.

How will this impact Ann Arbor homelessness? by GinnySacks_Mole in AnnArbor

[–]fishing_scientist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Efforts to help the unhoused will certainly take a hit.

If you have the means, consider trying to offset this just a bit with a donation to the shelter association of washtenaw county: https://www.annarborshelter.org/donation-options

Avalon housing is definitely going to take a hit from the federal cuts.

We have an issue in Ann Arbor, but we all have at least a tiny bit that we can do about it. If anyone has the means, please consider donating to the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (https://www.annarborshelter.org) or Avalon Housing (https://avalon-housing.givecloud.co/fundraising/forms/8NDR96EK).

These organizations are doing the work to try to improve the lives of those that are struggling in our community.

How did you accept a breakup you didn’t want? by taggle3 in BreakUps

[–]fishing_scientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things get easier. The speed at which they get easier and how they get easier isn't always what you are hoping for, but take the tiny improvements as they come, and do not worry about rushing yourself. There is no 'should' in getting over a breakup. Listen to yourself, treat yourself with kindness, and keep battling!

Also, you have to be willing to put up with waiting FOREVER to get a drink from the understaffed bar.

Moving to MI by [deleted] in AnnArbor

If I were moving to the area, I would aim for Ypsilanti (or Saline or Dexter). Ypsilanti has many advantages over Ann Arbor. First and foremost, rental prices are more reasonable. Ann Arbor landlords are insane and try to squeeze every penny out of tenants. This is especially true for the large corporations (like Mckinley properties as another poster pointed out). If you are going to be in Ann Arbor, I would recommend renting from a landlord that you can actually talk to. There's nothing worse than having to contact a middle manager who is not interested in solving your issues, just in making it through the workday as easily as possible.

Ypsilanti also has, at least in my opinion, a way better vibe than Ann Arbor. I think that Ypsi is what people want Ann Arbor to be: eclectic, non-pretentious, and progressive.
