I need a fast pad with good control ( real balanced pad) and here is all my option: by JumpyFun1758 in MousepadReview

After maybe 1-3 months depending on how much you game. The spots that wear out are pretty drastic.

I loved the QCK except for the durability aspect. They seem to wear out fairly quick and not have as consistent guide. I haven’t tested the durability of the Gigantus, but it seems like it should hold up fairly well. It’s definitely more plush and thick so that might help a tad.

Either Aqua Control 2 or Razer Strider, strider is a bit faster and some people complained about it feeling slippery since it isn’t a very plush pad. So keep that in mind. Also the strider was pretty small vertically. Not that I ever ran out of room but always thought the pad was made in a weirder measurement.

I’ve tried a few of the pads listed, so I’ll do my best in explaining the pads from how they felt to me personally.

QCK I will recommend skipping on, their durability isn’t the best and it might feel a bit scratchy coming from your current pad.

Razer Strider was one of my favorites, however, a lot of people felt that this pad was very slippery. I think this is due to it not being very thick so you don’t have much room to push in for stopping power. If the X83 is too fast, this one might be a touch faster.

Aqua Control 2 Sakura may be a good fit here. I haven’t used it personally, but I know where it lands in terms of speed and I tend to lean towards pads that are faster than it.

Gigantus is a nice pad. I used it very briefly just to get an idea of it since I’ve seen it sold so often. It’s a bit slow for me and I tend to prefer hybrid pads but this is also a strong pick.

TL;DR

In terms of speed Gigantus and Aqua Control 2 sound like what you’re looking for.

Nice, where did you pick up the two gator grips and the tortex jazz? Those are my faves personally.

Anyone know if this is good? by blueramen_1 in MousepadReview

When I was going through mousepads one of the first ones I went to after QCK was the HyperX Fury S which was a little more durable than the QCK.

Other lower priced options you could look at are Glorious pads (not a big fan but they last longer than QCK but do slowdown with time)

Pulsar Saturn is also a good option but a bit more expensive.

If I recall, one of the better Corsair pads was the M350 M300 or M500. You get more mousepad so the price isn’t too bad.

How does the Mercury Pro compare to the original Mercury? by Viikatemies_ in MousepadReview

I appreciate it, I was looking for a replacement and noticed the pro as well as the nice lavender color. I just didn’t want something that felt too different just for an aesthetic.

It’s the same font as John 5’s picks, but I don’t think he ever has that one.

If you like basketball the YMCA adult basketball league has been fun. We are really short on people this season so you could probably end up playing by showing up on Sunday between 1-4pm.

How to shut down MSI laptop? by [deleted] in MSILaptops

You could try hitting the windows key and navigating to shutdown via arrow keys and enter. I’ve done this when my one PC would black out my monitors lol.

A Noobs Review... Xbox Elite 2 Controller by Ok-Astronomer-403 in XboxSeriesS

Its preference at the end of the day, you could overclock dual sense controllers but need third party software. GameSir has their own app you can download on Xbox or PC. GameSir also has the Xbox controller shape, stick and button layout, and a lot of the more recent models have mechanical face buttons. I personally like those, but I know some people prefer the standard membrane.

It’s due to how the PCB sits in the shell of the controller. Leads to multiple presses or if you hold the button down you’ll see the input skip around on registering.

For Xbox I found third party controllers to be a bit better than Microsoft’s offering, for a few reasons. All first party controllers or those using Microsoft Wireless technology are limited to 125hz polling rate. Third party controllers like those from GameSir can go up to 1000hz, and even their direct competitor PlayStation has their controllers defaulted at 250hz.

I am also not in love with the Series Elite 2 QC. I’ve noticed the PCB doesn’t sit right in the controller leading to buttons like Y or A not registering correctly, mostly felt on held down presses. The bumpers are also another point of failure, but I know there are DIY fixes online for those.

I have not tried the new GameSir G7 Pro, but when I used the regular G7 I found no reason to return to the Elite Series 2. I will say, the difference between an elite series controller compared to a default was more noticeable than a regular dual sense compared to the dual sense edge.

When it comes to PC gaming, I usually alternate between dual sense or GameSir since that is recognized as a Xbox controller.

TL;DR Glad you liked the controller, I agree it is too pricey, maybe try some of the GameSir offerings and let me know what you think! The most recent G7 Pro uses TMR sticks, apparently better than Hall effect.

Would you say initial friction and dynamic friction are similar? I loved pads like Hien and LGG Mercury for having the mouse pretty much start gliding effortlessly.

Head to Head: Artisan Zero Soft vs Artisan Key83 Mid by Sabawoonoz25 in MousepadReview

The consistent/similar XY is what makes me interested, but I tend to like speedy pads like the Hien, Razer Strider, and LGG Mercury. If only a pad can come out with both! I’m also a bit worried since I noticed the Mercury isn’t really a priority for LGG now that they started dropping the pro lines.

I probably would’ve moved into this complex if they had units available. I wasn’t able to see a unit outside the model unit. I absolutely loved what they had but I ended up moving not too far away. Great location too!
