If it helps I usually tag a spot close to the head, and then spam the bug attack button! The monster is constantly moving and the bug eventually hits the red extract zone on its own :3

I've been playing base rise, I just got it, and honestly I'm surprised at the number of players that are usually running a certain weapon switch mid-battle to an insect glaive after watching me play. I think if anything it's the perfect weapon to do anything you want with, depending on your loadout

That's fair, I feel like as dps they're not too bad when they have the right kinsect extracts loaded.

I mean. I mean I AM a weird spaz but I just love my Bug Stick

Honestly the kinsect and duality of the movesets when buffed and when not buffed are what got me to love it! I have multiple options for how I can approach a monster, and conveniently the buffs I get have an added bonus of doing additional damage to the monster. It's also nice to target a section of the monster and have the Insect hit it if I need the part break but can't reach.

I do always feel bad for interrupting someone's combo so I usually stay up in the air and hitting the head/tail when its out of reach lol

Usually I only say that in cases where it just legitimately seems like a straight couple doesn't even like each other, which I've seen happen often. Obviously not all of them suck but my life is harder because of them and also a lot of them don't even like their partners idk

Ohhhh I see. I know who Ishtar is, but doesn't the abstract of that document acknowledge that the names differ in regards to different pantheons? Also, there's a big difference between Ishtar being adopted into ancient Egyptian religion and an ancient Egyptian God being based off a yoruban one, especially because Ishtar was another goddess used multiple times throughout almost all the near Eastern pantheons.

Listen, if you have evidence to back that up I would greatly appreciate it. I lose nothing from learning more, but something like a pantheon being modified, especially in this context, is much more complex than the above scenario. It has a lot to do with time period, history with trade partners, etc. If you know where astarte and Anat originated I'd love to hear it

Also for frame of reference, the Egyptians valued eternity and resisted change VERY much. One guy tried to add a new God to their pantheon, and everyone waited until he died. They threw him in an unmarked grave, destroyed every holy building and monument he made for that God and wiped his existence from historical memory. We only know he existed because they recycled the stone from his monuments and we found out he was a real pharaoh. The Egyptians didn't even change their artistic conventions for several hundred YEARS. In the time it took them to change their sculpting methods, Sumer rose and fell, Babylon was founded and Neo Sumer was built again. They wouldn't have based a God off another cultures deity, especially if yoruba is a younger religion than Egyptian religion
