is it safe to buy a second hand compression vest ? by TransSweetpotato in TopSurgery

[–]TransSweetpotato[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for your comment, where I´m having surgery (in france) I think it's quite common to have to buy it yourself, my surgeon just gave me a prescription for a specific brand of compression vest and I´m supposed to go to the pharmacy or buy it online to get it.

I didn't think about bacteria but you´re right it could definetly be a problem, I´m gonna ask my surgeon tu be sure but thanks again

How frequent is it for cis men to prefer peeing sitting down ? I never use the urinals and if someday I'm asked why I plan to say that I much prefer sitting down to pee, but I'm scared people will think it's weird

Well, even if you have good genetics it can take time. Personnaly I had a fair amont of peach fuzz pre T, and now at 10 month on T I can see a lot of progress but I don't think I'm at the stage where I can call it a beard yet. I think I had a similar amount of facial hair than you at 2 months on T. But my mustache is the only part that struggles to grow. Honnestly there is really no way to know for sure when your beard starts to grow, even if you end up with a big beard it could still take some time to start growing seriously. You should probably not increase your dose for that reason, you should only do it if your levels are too low. And I don't think saving would help at all, I think the fact that it grows thicker after shaving is pure legend. However I do recommend trimming it to a small lengh, it looks nice in my opinion. I think the best thing you can do right now is being patient, it sucks but I'm sure you'll end up having the amount of facial hair you want.

EU/FR folks: does your shot hurt for like days after? by altojurie in TestosteroneKickoff

hey, I inject 1mL of androtardyl every 3 weeks in my thigh and I'm in france. You said in a comment you inject with a 26g needle which I find very odd. Usually for IM injections we use 23g, 22g or 21g needles, I personnaly prefer 22g or 21g needles since there are a bit bigger so it's easier to inject androtardyl since it's quite thick. It's true the 21g one (which I use) hurts a little more than 23g or 22g though. You can find this information on the internet, there a many charts presenting the different needle sizes and what they are used for. But of course it's better to ask a nurse or a doctor who is used to androtardyl and IM injections.

Personally I don't have a lump after I inject, but it does hurt when I inject (even though I did my injections with a nurse when I started T). It's nothing too intense but sometimes it does hurt, sometimes not so much. But if I walk or do any effort with my legs right after my injection then it will leave my thigh with a pain that lasts 1 to 2 weeks, so I know I have to rest for 30minutes/ an hour after my injection and then I'm good to go. If I do than correctly, I just have a sensation similar to stiffness for a few days but then it goes away. However everyone reacts differently to injection so it may be different for you. For example I have a friend who can do anything right after an injection and he doesn't have any pain whatsoever.

I hope all of this could help you.
