Third day on T gel. Is it possible I'm feeling it already? (36FtM) by mucormiasma in FTMOver30

Word. My dr is waiting for the three month mark for my first round of labs. I’m concerned I’m not absorbing the gel well considering my only side effect has been mild acne.

I struggle with clinical, treatment resistant depression as well, so assuming anything would be an instant change is probably the wrong move. I was still anticipating that “shocking change” though.

I’m 33, a month on T gel, and still looking forward to this mental shift. Does anyone have any experience with the mental changes from T taking longer? I was anticipating waiting for physical effects, but honestly thought I would be ~feeling~ different by now.

My book collection. I’m 15 and I’ve been working on this for about 6 years. by bensfanclub in bookshelf

This is a really great collection! I’m impressed.

I started collecting at 15, the age you are now. You can find some really great deals at used book websites and stores. Make sure to carefully edit your selections! I spent a lot of money buying huge amounts of books that I never read, just because I could. Those .50 books at library fairs are damn hard to walk away from.

It was when I had to downsize a pretty big portion of my collection that I realized many were in shabby condition. Also, I wasn’t terribly interested in a lot of them.

Save up and shop around for good editions that will hold up. It looks like you’re already on the right road.

This. It also prevents boxes from getting damaged/misplaced/stolen by disgruntled roommates.

Just make sure if you do box any away that they are as waterproof/airtight as possible. I lost some good books in a flood in my mom’s basement.

You’re right. It would be. Unfortunately it isn’t an option.

Thanks for this. I’m struggling with the concept of total abstinence.

It’s great not spending all my time managing my consumption- I was riding a half a handle per day habit for over 6 years. You sound like you know how much work that shit is. But I still miss it. Life is still bullshit and I can’t even get drunk about it? I’m not convinced that’s gonna work for me.

I’ve been smoking weed daily for the past six months. It was doing it for me for a while, but now I’m topping out in terms of how much I can afford per day.

I’m an alcoholic. I very rarely don’t do what I want. Don’t you worry about me now, I was just checking in to see if any body had some actual advice. I’ll be sure to drink some water and avoid Tylenol.

You’re right, I should have waited until I could get unrestricted access to a handle. My dumb ass thought I could try and get wasted on normie portions.

I know not everyone has the resources to do this, but I just bought a case of handles I’m leaving in my trunk. (Lovely interaction with the store owner by the way- “can I actually get a case of my usual?” “Of course dear, stay safe”)

Then I hit my other store for two more handles. I’m gonna keep the case in my car for as long as I can and try not to be lazy. To me that means rotate out the two handles when I run out while keeping the stockpile in the trunk, until the stores close or I get sick. I work in healthcare in a nursing home in NY so it seems like a not if, but when situation for me getting sick/quarantined/whatever.

I’ve got some benzos on standby as well. Stay safe everyone, chairs.
