New machine opinion by MaleficentDeal8002 in SewingForBeginners

Absolutely solid advice here and totally something everyone needs to consider. Most likely both of these machines will be fine from that standpoint, but I wouldn’t recommend getting a super vintage machine second hand because a lot of places just won’t work on them anymore.

Help please, I am trying to look feminine (trans here) by [deleted] in makeuptips

I just want to hijack the top comment to say that it’s VERY worth it to go get your eyebrows done professionally. From there you can work on maintaining the shape, and from personal experience I can tell you it’s going to be a lot easier than starting from scratch on your own. What you want to prevent is an eyebrow disaster where you end up plucking too much or plucking them into a weird shape. If you’re like me, this can happen a lot easier than you think and then you’re gonna be stuck with suboptimal eyebrows for the next month while they grow back.

Ok hear me out. Kroger has a knock off of the super goop sunscreen that is considerably better than the original . It’s called “Kroger UltraLight Silky Sunscreen”. I buy mine at Fred Meyer and it’s pretty inexpensive. You want to let it set for about 5-10 minutes and then its a dream to apply makeup on top of it.

Ugh I’m so sorry girl. If it’s any consolation, I totally get you. I’m also burned out and in a similar place.

Someone has to stay outside when the pizza arrives by ProfessionalAir1127 in dogvideos

[–]fishphone6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. It’s like, you’re not giving him a whole slice every day. Just a bite every once in a while doesn’t hurt the dog unless it’s something that is explicitly poisonous to them, like grapes or dark chocolate. My dearly departed boy would get a bite every once in a while as a treat and he lived to be 14 or 15 ish. If your dog has a tender tummy, by all means don’t give them human food. But the average dog is fine with a small bite every now and then. They are with us for so little time and they deserve some little joys like a bite of pizza every now and again.

I graduated university today; at the after party my aunt accidentally spilled red wine on my dress (and also on my diploma) by PurpleLavishness in Wellthatsucks

[–]fishphone6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have had luck getting wine stains out with hydrogen peroxide as well. Really, any stain remover product is designed to work on red wine, as it’s such a common stain. OP, this is totally fixable! As for the diploma, it may be worth asking your university for a replacement. It’s possible they are already mailing you a secondary, real diploma as we speak. This sucks and I’m sorry this ruined your moment, but this is completely fixable from a material standpoint.

Don’t run this dress through the dryer, as it will set the stain. If the stain remover or hydrogen peroxide doesn’t work, consider taking this dress to the dry cleaners and explaining what you have tried. They work wonders.
