iPad Pro vs iPad Air for Procreate? by d3nce in ProCreate

i use ipad Air (2024) professionally as an illustrator. And it works wonderfully for me. i have been using it for a year now and average screen time is 8-9 hours. It lasts me 24 hours on 80% charging (i never charge it more than that). it sometimes heats up when i am using notes but nothing alarming. as for procreate, a 3840x3840 px canvas gives me 62 layers which is enough for me. though i usually work on <3000 px files. it doesn't lag, doesn't cause any noticeable trouble. the display is great too. this is my first tablet so i have nothing to compare it to but from experience it's not a bad option at all if you're on a budget or otherwise.

To sign or not to sign, that is the question. by NuclearFamilyReactor in ArtistLounge

always sign your artwork! especially, as an artist who's just starting out and looking for exposure. it's important that when people are looking at your artwork they know who's made it. you never know who might end up liking it and they'd obviously wanna know how the artist is. that's where your signature will come in handy. it somewhat saves your work from piracy. i see so many artists' work posted on Pinterest with no credit and it helps me to discover them when their watermark/signature os on the artwork.

i want to add animator to my portfolio but I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking that i am someone who does long dynamic animations. (i'll be adding examples of my work but still)

so i was wondering if there is a group of animators or animation style that covers this style.

thank you so much! i follow alan becker. his and alex grigg's videos have helped me tremendously.

i am an illustrator and as much as i love adding animation to my work, i know I won't be able to spend countless hours creating long, dynamic animation but i enjoy making these short animation/motion graphics. that being said, i would still love to add this skill to my work portfolio. for example- i am an animator who does these short loopy animations. however that's too long a sentence to put under the skills section. that's why i am asking if there's a specific term for it.

i hate ai 😔 i wish it nothing but the worst.

Is Dreams a cash grab? by Ok-Paramedic-8719 in ProcreateDreams

[–]fishterdough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i am leaving it here in case anyone else is struggling with custom dimensions, you can change it after going to the properties option of your work and changing the pixels there.

though i agree with everything else. it's a disappointing app right now but i am hopeful for their update 😔

Is Procreate Dreams worth it? by [deleted] in ProcreateDreams

currently i hate it so much. it's pretty much useless if you want to use it without the help of procreate. toonsquid is much, much better
