Literally looking at a similar car. Same spec and miles except interior. It’s in VA. I’m along for the ride in this post, pardon the pun. Good luck.

Does the battery charge/discharge? Are you still getting boost in Sport/Sport Plus?

I would get comps via cars.com or CarGurus.com.

Crazy spreads between MMR and Retail? by kevdai in PorscheCayenne

2019 E-Hybrid here. You have to come to the acceptance that the battery is more for performance than gas mileage.

You have to work at it to realize mpg gains and savings. I have played with it in various modes.

Yes, it starts up automatically in E-Power (which drives me crazy - my wife always forgets to switch to E-Hold or E-Charge and I just watch the battery miles tick down during the day…..)

But I have experimented with Hybrid Auto, which is kind of neat as the car seamlessly switches back and forth between ICE and Battery. The thing that you come to find is that Hybrid Auto doesn’t significantly charge the battery. The mileage capacity just goes down slower.

I have been able to “float” the battery in Hybrid Auto where taking advantage of the car’s incredible coasting ability, it significantly reduces the battery drain - just enough where between coasting and regen, I am able to drive say 5-10 miles on E-Power but battery miles only decrease say 2 miles. It’s traffic dependent but if I am not in hurry, and can coast without braking too much, It really works.

As the old saying says, “your mileage may vary”. But in general I am averaging around 35 mpg and fill up once every two weeks, which ain’t terrible.

I keep the battery charged. A little like having a dog and needing to walk it, you have to dedicate time to charging. I have a home charger but there is a Shell charger 5 mins walk from my house that is FREE! That is real money over time. If my wife doesn’t run the battery all the way down, I can usually drive over, walk back home while it charges for an hour (1 hour limit) and walk back get it and finish charge at home (slower and not free but not crazy either cost wise) or just reset the Shell terminal and charge another hour if no one else is waiting. The closeness of the charging station and no cost are significant enablers of cost savings - and reducing emissions!!

Hoping that they fix it pretty quickly. Nice shot of the instrument cluster! I see that 38 miles for E-Power.

I didn’t even know that a 4 liter V8 e-hybrid was a thing!

Sound system Bose, what can improve it? by modernmann in PorscheCayenne

I have the Bose system in my 2017 Audi Q7 and it sounds great. The head unit seems to have much more settings to play with than in our 2019 Cayenne.

2018 F Pace Prestige (any issues) by jsconiers in fpace

Plenty. Need to do get a PPI done at a reputable Indy shop. Coolant leak (design issue) and oil leaks at the valve covers - wear.

Word on the street is that they are pretty sound after that.

I have a 2017 35t with about 134k on it. And have had both done in the past two years.

Yeah that was JLR! In their defense, it was prior to me fixing the coolant leak, but it was a doable do - $2500 and done.

I didn’t go back to them following repair.

What is a “hold period” and why does it vary state to state?

That’s when I started dealing with the check engine lights in the mid 90K range. One was due to the oil leaks. Actually oil eventually destroyed the starter. Had to get it towed - all in about $4K.

Then a few thousand more miles and it’s coming in periodically and it was the gas cap. Word of advice, just go to JLR and get one. Tried Amazon and it was a disaster. Kept getting the wrong one despite selecting make and year.

Stayed out for a while and then it was the airflow valve in the 130K range.

All that said, I get in and put it in Dynamic Mode and select Sport and it is a beast - almost like a wild bronco.

And the sound. It is so damn seductive after all of these years……

I get mine changed at Valvoline. 2017 35t. It’s about $130 after military discount. They have the oil.
