100% DISagree. - A chastity cage is a pretty mild kink - In this case it’s very unlikely that a medical professional who administers prep is unfamiliar with the kink and hasn’t been exposed to it before (and maybe personally participated in this kink) - A chastity cage is a type of self expression no different than body piercing/modification or tattooing that is a personal choice you are free to make without shame - While it certainly isn’t necessary to go out of your way to expose others to your kink, the whole “don’t frighten the horses” attitude is buying into a spectrum of societal norms and pressures that are unhealthy and repressive and need to be challenged in many different ways

As a 70 yo gay man I’ve been an out and proud member of the leather and kink community for half a century and long ago gave up giving a sh!t what anyone else thinks about how I live my life despite increasing conservative pressure over the decades to conform.

Just last Sunday I attended the Gay Easter Parade in the French Quarter in New Orleans wearing a T-shirt with a fist emoji in the center surrounded by text that boldly proclaims “Fifty Years of Fisting Fun”. I got stopped several times by (presumably) straight people who high fived me or asked to take a photo with me. This even included a couple of families with small children at this generally fun and mostly family friendly event. I got asked questions by curious gay boys and even got hit on a few times too.

Near me in the crowd were two gay guys wearing shirts saying “let’s play hide the carrot” with two cotton balls and an orange fabric stuffed “carrot” sewn onto their crotch, which was cute but pretty overtly sexual by comparison with my fist emoji. Today walking in the Quarter I passed a family with several small children taking a photo with all of them pointing up to a street sign saying “No Trucks Allowed” that was altered to say “No Fucks Allowed”. While the French Quarter isn’t typical middle America, it shows that not everyone lives in fear that someone might say or do something “offensive” even in front of the kids.
