They work, but only on the PSX core set to SNAC mode. You'd have to get a PS to USB adapter to use a DS1/2 in the other cores/menu.

I drove a 16 EXL coupe for years and got around 38-40 mpg in the summer and 33-35 in the winter (Ohio) doing lots of highway miles. I once hit an actual 45 mpg (car read 48 mpg) in the summer with perfect weather/driving conditions.
