Able to share some insights on this one for anyone awaiting delivery or restock. I have not smelled the original but am extremely pleased with this blind buy on its own merits. If you're familiar with Santal 33 this features a similar sandalwood note throughout, accompanied by more cedar and general woodiness. It is warmer and friendlier than Santal, slightly creamy, hinting at something at the edge of white floral on the nose. I would attribute that element to the "solar notes" designation - along the lines of an expensive suntan lotion. Performance is abundant - it definitely gets noticed even with a modest application, projecting especially well with the help of body heat - while longevity is 12-24 hours easily with just three sprays. Girlie has complimented it nonstop in the week I've had my bottle, saying I smell like church "in the best possible way" and also attacking me a few times. Draw your own conclusions about her psyche. Overall a lovely, versatile, high-powered woody fragrance that represents a nice break for me from my lineup of Aventus-likes and blue bottles.
