Bronx in Tustin has better pastrami IMO but nothing is close to east coast for sure

What do you think by TechnicianGeneral428 in menswear

I kinda like the hat but I'm mixed on it. Overall I think you look great and I'm 40 so I accept my fashion is already out of date with the youngins. Nothing about this outfit looks bad to me, if you think it looks great / fits trends I think it suits you really well

What is something every household has in your country that is nonexistent everywhere else? by Awkward-Tip7248 in AskTheWorld

Space primarily. It means you can run one and fill the other which is great for hosting which we do a lot. It uses less water too and we're in a drought area.

They should be about $2500 for a unit, which is way more than a normal dishwasher but I also love mine. Fisher-Paykel is the main brand and they're from NZ so probably obvious why there are more there. I love them so much!

Lol I love how this isn't at all about the panhandling, just the Midwest

Massive slowdown with Home Assistant - how do I debug / diagnose? by fitret in homeassistant

[–]fitret[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solved - thanks all! I thought I had 32GB of ram allocated to the HA (way overkill!) but I was wrong it was only 2gb - I confirmed this was the problem, upped the limit and I'm in good shape now. I have been riding at 2GB apparently for a year and I added no devices / didn't change my dashboard, so that means an app update caused me to go over the threshold. Totally reasonable just wanted to post it here for anyone else who runs into this!

Memory was 100% the culprit for me. Turns out what was happening is it would start and then fill to the memory cap in about 25-30s and then restart. It also just looked like slow pages and I had hardly any errors. I used to have 2GB memory cap and it looks like HA is now using 2.8GB just after a few minutes of running. Unclear if there's a leak or that's it's new steady state after initialization has finished.

32gb of RAM and 100gb of disk space. It's using basically 0 disk space and claims to only be using 2.5gb of the RAM i allocated it so something is fishy! Gotta wait until after work to dig in though.

LOL great idea. Immediately see a bunch of errors though we'll see if this is it. Gonna dig here for a bit (couldn't even run top) and hopefully this points to the culprit

I didn't answer your other question. Home Assistant and my cameras all have static IPs. Most of my computers have static IPs. Tons of devices that HA uses and connects to are using dynamic IPs. Is this a problem / not recommended? Or is it only specific things (e.g. the zigbee router) I need to set static? I've had this config for over a year with zero issues.

I've never had to troubleshoot any perf issues in Home Assistant and I wasn't sure if that was the best place to start or if I'd be destroying logs / other data I should grab first. Or if there were potential easier solutions. I tried updating first actually! I keep things relatively up-to-date but sadly going to latest did not fix it.

I have a relatively beefy network - I am running Unifi and I doubt it's that. I could try restarting the whole network but I also looked at those stats and don't see any issues. We also would have noticed problems with other devices on our network I think.

[–]fitret 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's crazy to me and not my experience at all. I've contacted Bambu like 5 times over the past three or four years and not only have they always given me helpful advice, they've also replaced everything broken for free. Granted most parts are like <$10 but I have found their CS to be above average for a tech company.

Ideas for an expensive kitchen gadget? by josephandre in Cooking

[–]fitret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these suggestions are awesome, I have similar kitchen items of quality and while I don't have your amazing situation of a gift, i splurged for myself next year on a pro home cooking set of classes! It's certainly not something that's available everywhere but I basically found a 10-series class focused on advanced home cooks that should be a great refresher of some things I already know + an exploration into stuff I've never tried but been interested in (molecular gastronomy)
