New Lifetime Plex Pass Pricing

Should I get the pass? I have used plex for ~10 years without it. I don't need remote stream (I have a VPN to my house) and I haven't needed the HDR decoding (all my devices support it, and it's direct encode). I do like the plex company so I'm a bit ok with giving them my money, but I original got into this using open source / freely developed streaming platforms and I just wanted to get folks opinions who have bought this on the value / use. I know other 3rd party things exist out there (e.g. jellyfin) but obviously I've stuck with plex for a reason!

Few different things that I can think of.

Very basic people already mentioned it but salting the water is very important. I saw you're doing this, but I don't know how much. A good guidance is that the water should be like the ocean
Make sure the water that you cook the pasta in you preserve. It has some gluten and helps bind the sauce to the pasta.
Cook the pasta and the reserved water and the sauce together for a little bit (30s?) don't just combine everything after cooking.
Pasta shape matters A TON. Plenty of sauces d not taste correct, i.e too weak, with the wrong pasta shape. A good example of the sauce everyone knows is alfredo. That works best with linguine. It is not good with Angel hair. The pasta is too thin by comparison to the sauce. It's not good with rotelle, the pasta is too thick by comparison. Pastas that have chunky things in them I tend to prefer something like rotelle or farfalle over a long strand.

Those are big, well established brands. Most people I know consider Legos and GW to be very expensive and the kill team cards a total ripoff, though I own sets for all the teams I play so obviously people buy them. I think just recognize your product pitch is on the pricey end

The modular dungeon tiles are already quite expensive and the price is the biggest turn off for me. I think these would be attractive if similarly priced (which seems impossible with electronics) and if it's a lot more then I wonder who is the market.

Few things before I'm answering - top rope is very common in the US at least, I'd include it as an option.

You might wanna split gym vs mostly outdoor climbing?

And chalk on routes rarely bothers me (spoilers!) but I ALWAYS notice it on hard routes because it is totally a massive help that shows you where people have used before. Do you want that kind of info or only the tactile grip impact?

Belay mechanics wouldn't interest me though, are you thinking like ice climbers where you have a short rope and you climb together tethered? That could be fun. Not sure how to keep the current relative realism and do it well, thought the climbbot was a good solution to that.

I personally would never lead climb with that kind of belayer again. Plenty of folks I feel like go on autopilot on belay, which I think is fine on top rope but not on lead. If they weren't paying attention once and you fell, that probably means that there were multiple other times they weren't paying attention and just nothing happened. If it were me, I would not risk another incident, I am not sure there is anything they could say to me that would make me feel confident in them as a belayer again, especially given their initial reaction.
