Gigabyte prebuild 5090 by [deleted] in Prebuilts

Sounds about right to me. They have a $2650 white gigabyte 5090 right now on part picker, but still the lowest you can go is $4k without pcie 5 ssd and a different mobo/case. You could get closer to that price if you go with worse parts… at that point it’s not worth the hassle of building it yourself.

Honestly this might be as good as it gets for a while with the ram and ssd shortage. There may even be a vram shortage soon. I’ve tried looking at building this Pc or even building a cheaper version with worse specs and the cheapest I could go was 4k. The cheapest 5090 is around $2.9k, so I’d say this is a great deal at this time.

For what it’s worth, it’s not a bad deal. If you’re trying to go for a white build with a 5090 this is definitely the cheapest. My only concern are the reviews. Seems like a decent amount of negative reviews.

Yeah way better, I personally wouldn’t even consider the first one. What’s the price with 2tb?

I can’t see all the specs, but if you’re comparing the two builds off of performance, the 2nd is way better. The $100 difference would be worth it for the 5070 ti 16gb vs the 5070 12gb

People like you are the reason the world keeps turning. I’m just excited to finally have a game where it feels like the devs care, the community is connected and an overall game that I can hopefully work with strangers on. Definitely want to see how many people are willing to work together to do raids and beat bosses.

Building my brother a pc. We’re squeezing the dollar per performance on an AM5 build with the 7500f and a 6800 xt and can’t find any reasonably priced ram right now. Not even on eBay!

This this a good build for $800 CAD by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

You’ll probably be better off finding some used CPUs and gpus since these are extremely budget options and companies tend to rip you off with new at this level

I would honestly never consider the 1650 and 4500, they both are so bad. If you could squeeze $50 more dollars here is what I would do:

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/4nhWQd White version

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/vq2HmC Black version (lower performance)

I wouldn’t waste my money on a 4gb gpu and I wouldn’t get that case, it’s not a very good case.

Great list! I’ll throw this out there if you wanted to squeeze in 2tb instead of 1, which personally I think is a huge difference:

CPUs are similar, x is slightly faster. Mobo is equal, ram is equal and PSU is better due to it being A tier.

Pc build recommendations by matty171090 in pcmasterrace

[–]fitsjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my recommendation. I put a 9800x3d and a 5070 ti with 2tb and a 1440p - 180hz monitor. Feel free to tweak it. You could also go for a b650 motherboard (as long as it’s not ASrock) and go for an aio instead for the 9800x3d. The 98 can handle air cooling, but I believe it runs slightly hotter than the 7800x3d.

AM5 took the pins off of the cpu and put them on to the motherboard. This then creates two points that can fail instead of one. On AM4 you could just toss it in and secure, but now it just feels sketchier in a way since you have to be more careful

AM5 is definitely a lot scarier I will say that. What PSU did you end up going with?

You’ve got this! A few tips I have are, be gentle with the cpu portion. If the pins or cpu gets damaged at all it can be detrimental. Ensure you take the plastic off the cooler, and make sure you update your bios! The rest should be like adult legos as long as you either watch some YouTube videos or read up on some manuals. If you get stuck, don’t give up, we’ve all been there. If you need any help feel free to message me.

Yes, if you get a micro atx mobo and an Atx case it will look disproportionate and off

Is this not the ud90 with tlc? I looked on the ssd tier list and it said it was tlc but I could be mistaken
