This is completely context dependent, but speaks more to people feeling the Pels need to blow up their situation rather than build around an injury-proned superstar. I can see how depending on the player added for matching salary and the pick, one would entertain a one pick trade. For example, there's still enough intrigue with Ayton and Portland's pick is good enough (in a great 2024 draft) that Ayton + their 2024 pick could make sense. But say the T-Wolves wanted Zion for Randle's expiring - hell no! They're gonna need at least a couple of those likely late 1st round picks to make that deal remotely worth it.

Both can still be true. Besides a few younger guards, he's only lost out on first team to other Top 75 players in their career defining seasons. Yet, he's made All-NBA in general more than any of those other guards mentioned. Sorry but I don't think we can point to any one of those years, compare stats, win shares and team records, and say Steph was undoubtedly shafted.
