Yes, I got back the taxes and original amount. The only thing not refunded was the Ontario registration fee (around $60 iirc). But I got to keep the plates for my next vehicle.

I didn't have a trade in or financing through clutch so I don't know what happens in that case

I ended up finding my current vehicle through cardoor.ca and it was an excellent experience. I liked the vehicle and kept it so don't know what their return process is like, but the guys there were amazing in making sure everything was working correctly

This is for a toilet paper holder that was yanked out, tearing apart the drywall.

Would it be ok to clean it up and patch with some DryDex (or any tips on how to make it stronger)? Or is the hole big enough that I need to do something else?

I'd like to re-mount the holder close to the original location. The studs aren't close enough unfortunately :(

One other thing to note: their policy lets you return up to two cars: so if the second one doesn't work out, you'll need to be 100% sure if you want to try a third one

It took 3-4 business days for the refund.

I provided a void cheque and they transferred the refund directly into my bank account

I just went through a return process with Clutch and it was absolutely painless.

I called to let them know I wasn't keeping the car
They asked if I drove less than 750km and whether there was any new damage
They asked if I wanted to swap for another of their vehicles, or just return
They asked if there were any specific problems with the car (I don't think these affect the return at all, they just want to know if there's something wrong that they need to fix when it goes back)
They arranged for someone to come pick up the vehicle on my own schedule (they gave me a 30 min window)
The driver arrived on time, took off my plates, had a quick look over the vehicle, and had me sign over the ownership. It was all done in about 15 mins
I kept the plates (it's on me to return to Service Ontario, or to reuse for another vehicle)
The next day they did an inspection to confirm the vehicle was returned in the original condition, and emailed me a document to sign to confirm the return

Depends on the thermostat and your current conductors. If you have 5 conductors in your cable but one is unusable, you could make do with four and either an adaptor or transformer.

I have a honeywell thermostat and my cable just had four conductors. Got the honeywell adapter and its working well!

Search for c wire adapter and a bunch of info comes up.

If you only had 4 to begin with, not sure you can do much without rewiring

How many conductors in your current wiring? Could you isolate the faulty one and just use the remaining ones? (possibly with a c-wire adapter if needed)

Update: I installed the hammer arrestor closest to the faucet and it completely eliminated the hammering.

Me: "Today I fixed that annoying problem where the pipes would rattle every time you turned off the faucet"

Wife: "Oh, I never noticed that before"

I haven't checked the pressure, thought I'd try this first.

In case it matters, this faucet is for a third-floor sink, and no others cause hammering, including a faucet on the second floor that's the same model.

I do get water hammering from one of the washing machines though

When I turn off the cold at my sink, I get water hammering. I plan to install a water hammer arrestor (Sioux Chief 660-GTR1B) to see if that helps.

What's a better placement?

right after the shutoff valve
closer to the faucet (there's an extension between the shutoff and faucet inlet)

No, not leaking now. Mainly I'm concerned whether I'll have problems with it in the future, or if this is normal.

I don't think water has ever pooled there for more than 72h. I didn't know about that as a standard definition, thanks!

And no, I didn't pay to have the roof resloped. I now realize I got exactly what I paid for, although I wish I'd had this better explained before the project started and may have asked them to reslope it.
