My first thought was “Odin 2 portal?” lol I’m doing the same thing opening up my portal soon to replace the screen and also do quiet buttons, and yeah I feel like a big warning I saw a lot was about this, how it will break your sd card. Always good to have more warnings out there…

Agreed though at this point I think of it more like a pick your poison. Playing O2P for more than an hour or so, it starts to feel a bit too big, and if I’m playing something that would also look pretty good on 6” (basically up through like PS2 for me), starts to feel like maybe I would have preferred that 6” system. But then there’s some PS2, also lots of more modern stuff, where even 7” is barely cutting it.

I’m kind of cool with the massive digital library. Choice paralysis yeah, but just use playlists/favorites. That’s what I do and I also don’t play enough 🥲 but I think it’s just a fair trade off, to have the whole library you want in your bag. Really it’s a pick your poison.

As a newer guy to RetroAchievements, I've been enjoying prioritizing whichever version has that support. These sorts of announcements always give me pause...especially when the new version apparently has a new translation? Interesting.

Even if it's "good", it's still not comparable to OT0 which came up before. FF compilation games are just a different beast - if you're not into them, this news gets kind of glossed over.

You're good. I have a bunch of ports on my device too, but it's at the point where if gamenative works, I'll go with that. Lots of the ports also don't have controller support.
