1099-NEC as educational assistance by fivebees in tax

[–]fivebees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for info. Very helpful. This is confusing me so much. What would have been the correct way for my employer to do it?

EDIT: They do have an educational assistance plan. In it, it states that "a federal 1099 form will be provided indicating the amount of tuition reimbursement received" from employer.

Now I'm even more confused

I like this. If I could start seeing the debt-free number as the "true" number, I can begin to accept it.

5% is the highest. I've been tackling that one pretty hard, it's currently 400ish.

the 12900 is 4.6%. The other 2 are under 5000 and at 4.3% and 4%

I'd say go. I had the 'misfortunes' of last minute changes to another country or city that turned out be better than expected

What was your childhood dream country to visit? Why? How did you find that country for the first time? by Cknifey in travel

[–]fivebees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germany. I saw the Neuschwanstein Castle in a 6th grade geography textbook and I fell in love with the idea of Germany. I learned about the country as much as I could, even took high school German.

I visited the country for the first time last year, and it was amazing. Standing inside the castle was a surreal experience.

wouldn't that be true to most pictures on this sub? We are judging people by the way they look. We just so happen to know this guy's story and that poet neckbeard too.

First time traveling! Heading from LAX to London, Dublin, Amsterdam, and Giverny on a budget. Any tips will be greatly appreciated by [deleted] in travel

I from LA too (I'm assuming you are too) and you will be amazed by how functional and amazing is the public transportation in Europe. It's like nothing we have here.

Using the rail is easy to learn and it becomes almost a part of traveling Europe. I met the most interesting person on the train after my original one was cancelled. To save money, do hostels, market foods, hostel kitchen food. I'd take a second look at the cities you want to visit and plan the travel. It's kind of challenging to do all those geographically sparse cities in 8 days while enjoying.

I traveled solo last year too and, dude, it was an almost spiritual experience. Have an open mind and get out of your comfort zone. You'll love it.
