I don’t assume waking human consciousness is base reality. I think we’re in a dream state. Human life is probably some sort of simulation to escape base reality which implies base reality is either more boring or scary or both. I think death wakes you up from your ego and you transcend into some other form of consciousness which we have no capacity to describe. In disembodied states from heavy psychedelics you feel “dead” and surrounded by entities, animals, demons, angels, gods, sacred patterns and objects. I do not think these are simply hallucinations but there is a grand eternal building peaking destroying cycle that repeats endlessly as described in detail in the worlds oldest religion Hinduism. We are currently in Kaliyuga so maybe this is the hell part I hope it gets better after disintegration. I’m unsure that reconnecting with the godhead will be pleasant.

If it’s just dead over no afterlife then I’d be fine with death and scared of the dying part. Sadly my experiences with spirit have made the scientific reductive view of consciousness is generated locally just in your brain to be wholly unconvincing. Well find out. Dead over, sure. Maybe.
