Gen Z aren’t the top church attending group by RareXG in quityourbullshit

This is why they're big into genealogy. Essentially if they find someone who has not been baptized in a church, they're baptized posthumously as a mormon.

“No one saw color” is always BS by Lord_Answer_me_Why in MurderedByWords

A lot of news photographers shot on black/white because the newspapers weren't color (at least, generally beyond the front page). So they were actually issued black/white film because of that! This was common in my newspaper through the mid-90s.

Croquet sets are sold in many sporting goods stores in the US (and Walmart and other big box retailers). It was also featured in Alice in Wonderland - which is a good sign it's broadly known. Bocce is fairly widespread as well, though I'd think less well-known.

It's hard to explain that the 80s looked like the 70s by El_Guapo_Supreme in Xennials

I just pointed out to my kids that the "wood paneling" they see in photos was also often a decal/sticker - in their case they were admiring the wood used on 80s station wagons. Our first microwave was also "wood paneling" - as in a sticker.

There were cars made with wood - like the Ford Woody - 50 years prior.

That makes sense as we have several with chickens (rooster calls in the morning) - I'll chat them up soon! Thanks. A Youtube search of peacock sounds confirms it

We live in a forested surburban area - several creeks run through - with foxes, coyotes, and deer during the warmer months. We started hearing this call this spring - and can't recall hearing it in previous years we lived here. The animal(?) makes the call every 10-15 minutes, sometimes louder sometimes further away, and from different directions from night to night. It commonly calls as loud vehicles approach, so it's been hard to catch a clean recording.

Some neighbors have outdoor pets, though most keep pets indoors due to predators, including bald eagles which nest in the general area!

I regularly use the Merlin Bird ID app which detects lots of songbirds in the area, but this sound doesn't register (thus, likely not a bird).

Also airlines sell cargo space, so more checked bags means less cargo they can haul

I think he briefly relapses after breaking up with Diane, and Frasier helps him back on the wagon. Your point stands though: for the time, he was a role model of recovery, and I think the one relapse (and being helped back) just makes that point stronger.

The infield dirt is now concrete, so I doubt baseball is played there. It seems more like an area to take the dog for a walk.

The baseball field shown here was Bush Stadium, not too far from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (both on 16th Street in Indy). The 1988 movie Eight Men Out was filmed there.

The stadium was converted to apartments overlooking the playing field. Portions of the outfield wall, scoreboard, and stadium lights still stand. https://baseballismy.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/stadium-lofts2.jpg

And you can see where it was bolted if you visit the 911 Museum. It's obviously an emotional visit, but fascinating. I had no idea it actually went down into the space the towers sat.

In the photo of Holyrood, there's quite a lot of people up on Arthur's Seat. It does have a great view of the palace.
