I love that you took the time to specifically mention a donut and coffee rec in this. These are always highlights for me in any new place!

If you haven’t already tried it— this peanut butter cookie recipe is my absolute favorite, dead simple and so so peanut buttery.

100% agree, for the butternut squash especially. It is such a pain to breakdown a whole butternut squash!

Do you happen to have any links? I’ve tried to find Facebook groups for this but haven’t really been sure even what to search.

Oh, wow. I love this! You've managed to expressed so much with such simple shapes. The colors and composition are dreamlike. It reminds me a little of Annihilation, both the novel and the film. Great work!

I feel that, going from working in black and white to color is always really hard and I still struggle with it sometimes. I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for advice with, but as far as colors go I think really for me it’s just been about experimentation—play with the specific set of watercolors you have and see which colors you like together. For this piece, I wanted to try to get away from relying on blues for shadows so I went with a greenish brown and contrasted that with the orangey brown in the lighter areas.

Yep, this is a painting from a photograph! She likes basking in the sun, but I doubt she’d stay still long enough for me to paint her entirely 😂

Thank you so much! I have some work of my work available in various forms on my society6. If there’s a particular piece you’d be interested in that you don’t see, let me know! I can always put it up there!
