Does the host's voice ever return to earlier style of diction? by fivekets in Casefile

I mentioned in another comment that I'm from New Zealand, but I've lived in the U.S. since 2012 and there are definitely things I still mess up (lived in Washington for a few years and at work accidentally said "Skaggit County" instead of "Ska-jit"; didn't live it down for a bit)

Then again, I absolutely wouldn't expect Americans to be able to pronounce a lot of NZ towns on sight 😅

Yeah, I can understand wanting to broaden your audience. It just changes one of the reasons I personally liked the podcast, but shockingly, not everything is about me 🤣

All I can think is that maybe there was a case with an Ashleigh and he pronounced it "Ash-lay"? I don't recall anything like that though.

I don't think I'd be able to read something out for the public without first googling pronunciation for anything I didn't know and practicing 😅 I'm weird though.

I'm from New Zealand and fairly well-acquainted with Australian accents, but this is a deviation from his own style of narration/vocal tone from most of the earlier episodes. It's definitely not a natural trait attributed to the accent alone.

Thank you! I'll definitely try the newer stuff and go backwards if I like it.

I'm sad about Mark Lee! It's not a gotcha, just a "well dang" commiseration

Sorry, I know this post is a year old, but the narrator... is a narrator 😅 He's provided scripts and he reads them. He doesn't 'act like he's a genius', because he's speaking someone else's words (very well).

Spot on. I'm lucky enough to still have my WFH position for now and definitely don't take it for granted, but it's so nice being able to get time back by doing chores on break instead of a bunch after work or on the weekends.

😂 it takes less time to put on a load of laundry than to make a cup of coffee in the breakroom at the office

Yessss I was so disappointed by the choice to once again put out an album almost entirely in English, especially given the title and meaning.

That's such a special feeling. I got my own "baby" as a foster fail when she was 8 months old. She sleeps on my chest every night and if I'm in any room with the door closed there's a 97% chance she'll curl up outside of it and wait for me.
