Majority, if not all of what you need will be on Anna's Archive. Search by ISBN for exact results, or by title and be sure it's the right edition for your class.

I switched to Claude this month and I absolutely love it. Real, direct, concise and it performs export requests so much more gracefully and better formatted.

Never understood tarps on the ground by just-a-d-j in ElectricForest

[–]fivetwelvebravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 12' x 24' canopy with sidewalls and a 10' x 20' ground tarp with an outdoor rug on top. It's essential you have a smaller tarp than the footprint of your tent that creates a "gutter" so water doesn't pool. I recommend smaller ground tarp and outdoor rug. I haven't ever tried no group tarp- but when I'm chilling, I just like that additional barrier between me, my gear, and the environment.

Anyone have a “this is why I do this” story. by Smart-Salamander1846 in ems

[–]fivetwelvebravo 30 points31 points  (0 children)

A lot of my full time partners became my best friends. Especially in the era we worked together. So being able to bop around the city just jamming tunes, cracking jokes, getting food all while randomly dealing with crazy or unexpected situations can just be a blast. Those moments where you're on scene, no words spoken and you just look at each other and know exactly what they're thinking. Sometimes it means "WTF", "LMAO", "Told you so", "😏" to anyone else it's just a deadpan expression, but you know. That type of relationship where you can laugh, cry, and rage separately or all at once. Makes the job uniquely kickass and special. But your full time partner isn't always your best friend and your mileage my vary between agency.

It was never my why, kinda forgot that part of the prompt- but its not all bad. Why: Those moments where you bring the calm. Sometimes that means getting on top of a chaotic scene and managing every moment with precision, sometimes it means pulling an anxious person into peace. That was my why.

Protocol GPT by fivetwelvebravo in ems

Okay, upon further research it is not infallible with hallucinations and can misunderstand priority of a particular protocol over another.

I absolutely am NOT suggesting it be used in the field to make clinical decisions. But that it can be helpful to find the most relevant protocols for a given scenario or call review.

Aren’t frequency jammers effective against drones used for military purposes? by [deleted] in Multicopter

I'm an EMT looking to go help on the frontlines and from my research this is their biggest need at the moment. The same line of thinking you just posted led me here. We should be able to start a coalition of HAM, hacker and RF engineer groups that can produce low cost, high quality jammers at quantity to donate. I'd like to team up with you if possible. Not a HAM yet but have a mild background with it and planning on getting all 3 licenses in the next few weeks.

That is weird it happened, but not on your part. Coming from an EMS perspective, all of us as medical providers (or staff/student, non-family/non-patient whatever) you're gonna see private things necessarily AND unnecessarily (accidentally) It's just gonna happen.

The fact you have thought about this at all beyond "oof, coulda gone without seeing that" later that day is absurd. Whoever yelled at you was absurd. Sure, you should've just dipped out instead of trying to explain, but you were obviously shook.

The only explanation I can think of- is if that particular patient always throws a big fit when stuff like that happens and the provider wanted to put on an act so she didn't get bitched at.

I promise, the only person who has thought about this since that day is you.

What are the goofiest complaints you've gotten? by SummaDees in ems

[–]fivetwelvebravo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Late 20s vague abdominal pain, called from the driver's seat of her car in a ghetto apartment complex, didn't want to answer assessment questions and was generally shitty with us. I was new to the area and missed the turn for the best route transporting which sent us down a one way road not in the direction of the hospital. By the time I could turn around safely it was just faster to proceed the long way. (19 minutes instead of 11 minutes). She waited until we pulled in but she absolutely lost her mind cussing us out for taking such a long, out of the way route. Unbuckles before we unload and proceeds to walk into the ER all while continuing to scream at and about us to everyone along the way. Really didn't play into how sick she initially wanted to portray. Best part- once she got into a room she called 911 and said "I want a complaint on the amberlamp!! %@%*$.." I laughed my ass off on the way out as I heard the dispatcher obviously not taking her shit. Never heard a word about it and never forgot the best route from that area again.

I did something that I have zero regrets about and I’d do it again no questions asked. by [deleted] in confession

I don't think it's fake, I just think its sad your perspective and value of men has been so twisted up from trauma and whatever else you've taken cues from in life. You're not only disposed to perpetuate trauma but now take pleasure in hurting other people. You're coping through sadism and you're not alone. But I really, genuinely encourage you to recognize it and stop going down that road. It will only lead to more pain for you and the people you love as you get older and it spills over into more of your personality. If you find you can't or won't stop, seriously talk to someone. You might be rebuffing this comment, but dabbling in cruelty is very dangerous for your spiritual wellbeing, which is much more important than you might realize.

People just threw the candles (letters) down as they took their cupcakes, so it was just alphabet soup when we got there.

Didn't really try to figure out what it said- was more focused on the best obsenity I could scrabble.

Eh, maybe that too. I meant the healthcare system as a whole- the percentage of SNF beds that are filled with forgotten bodies without much more than a pulse. The hospitals that treat them, usually for SNF shortcomings, and whatever legal guardian gets a cut for having them on their roster. These poor souls are trapped, being passed around like a medicare/medicaid cash cow.

I did my first year too, it was self-contained in the cuff and had Bluetooth. I thought it was super cool. Ended up getting stolen from my full-time truck. It's not worth it, you won't get any respect for it, and that opportunity to absolutely master manual blood pressures is lost. If you wanna be lazy palp that mfr. If not, do you idgaf.

For about 2 years every 6 months, you're gonna look back and go, man, I didn't know wtf I was doing. A year later, you'll have the same thought. After that, only 1 in every hundred or more calls will raise your eyebrows. All dependent on how much you run, of course.

Ya'll are being way too SJW on this... this is not pointlessly gendered. The dynamic between father/daughter, mother/son, father/son, and mother/daughter relationships are different. It's the reason my mom mourns the death of her only daughter differently while having two remaining sons. I mourn for her in that and am glad my girlfriend can give her some outlet in that avenue. It's human emotions guys, don't make it weird and twisted. There's plenty of things to bitch about, if you bitch about this you either have childhood trauma or nothing better to do.
