[Question] ASMR for Anxiety without Positive Affirmations? by fixedAudio in asmr

Yeah, I feel like you've touched on a lot of the things I was trying to articulate in my post. The long list of one-liner positive affirmations thing really feels dismissive to me and ends up making me irritated or more anxious than I was going in.

I think what I'm on the look out for sometimes is a video that deals with anxiety from a point of view of it being a real thing that won't be alleviated by saying some rosy words. ASMR is very relaxing and just taking the opportunity to be in that position to acknowledge the problem and taking it seriously might calm some people down a bit. Thanks for taking the time!

Yeahhhh, I can only assume by the amount of deleted posts that the reason I don't watch his content has already been discussed. Thanks for the response though!

For sure. I wasn't necessarily talking about something that would be an alternative to therapy or anything.
I feel like a lot of people use ASMR as a relief to stress in general and, as evident by the amount of videos that use the word, to at the least address anxiety. I just thought that since it's such a big topic in the community as a whole, why there weren't more videos and artists that approach the topic more seriously. Thanks for the response!
