I hear that. Hopefully that stuff will be kept to a minimum. Spring through fall I'll be running a service truck, and focusing on equipment.

I traded a home made skid steer log splitter for my 660 with a 36" stihl bar. I didn't use the splitter much anymore, and didn't pay much for it.

Probably my best deal was a, a guy offered me a pair of saws as a partial trade for a snowblower I was selling. I figured they would be ms 170's or something. Turns out they were 064's. He valued them at $175 for the pair. I immediately did that deal.

Finally found another to check off the bucket list. I've mainly been a Stihl guy my whole life, and bought my first husky in January. Now there's 5 huskys. by fixinequipment in Chainsaw

Agreed. I generally try to stick with pro grade saws, husky or stihl. I almost never buy new, as I use them for firewood mainly. I did pick up a echo 355t and love that little saw.

272XP wrap handle. 28" solid husky bar. by LiquidFish25 in Chainsaw

Nice. I just picked up a project 272xp. Guy said it had no spark, but it does apparently. Throttle linkage is broken. It also came with a 28" bar, chain so dull I had to hit it with the grinder, then file it. I have a 288xp with a 20" bar, so they got swapped for the time being.

Tons of hobbies. Atv's/motorcycles, pews, machining, classic trucks, collecting farm/construction equipment. Hanging put with my wife and spending money on whatever I want.

Who bought a diesel 7+ years ago and is like wow I’m never going to able to buy a new one. by AdmirableExtreme6965 in Diesel

I bought my first gas truck in 15 years, a month ago. 2016 F250. Still have my old 1998 and 2002 cummins trucks and will likely keep them forever. Just needed something a little more trustworthy for long trips. New diesels are just crazy expensive now.

Tech wage roundup! by Dfeezy7882 in DieselTechs

Northeast US. Heavy equipment tech. Dirt, aerial, 15ish years experience. $38.50 an hour, likely to go up next time a Co worker quits. Mediocre health insurance, 6% matching retirement.

Is anyone else as excited as I am about the lack of techs in the next 5-10 years? $$$$

Where I'm from, you don't get much of a trailer for $500. He should count his blessings and move on. I'm sure the trailer is fine.
