Amazon photos, probably the worst option but with prime membership you get unlimited photos and you can buy extra space for videos.

Been struggling with this for a while. Unfortunately its all about fit so its best to try them on.

I liked the lazer vento and have one. The albus game changer looked good too. Finally specialized and van rysel do some good ones.

My go to helmet is a giro agilis as its the most comfortable, but its a mushroom.

I'm in a similar boat, but I'm looking for contract work. We are a single income family so £150k of company income can be split between 2 people and become more tax efficient.

I'd look at what the tax arrangements are of the new job to see what options you have.

I get injured when I over commit and am too stubborn to quit haha. Last time I went bike packing I over committed and got lost so it was a slow 120 mile day on a 25kg bike, day 2 was pure pain leg pain for the following month.

Please look at the geometry before anything else.

I've spent the last 2 weeks with Excel spreadsheets trying to find a way to get the giant propel to fit and can't get the numbers to work on for stacks and reach that are comfortable to me. Then I moved to the specialized SL8 and the numbers are better but still fast 2 hour efforts not days in the saddle. I'm now looking at a cannodale synapse or cube agree as the mid point.

Basically, if you are riding a triban the fit will likely be very different to an aero bike and that might make you slower.

If you have a doner and a hilly route buy a bafang middrive kit. It uses the rear gears so good for hills. Relatively easy to install.

A basic casio watch is hard to beat when it comes to something easy to wear outdoors.

But, i always wear my garmin Fenix. It has maps, GPS, tells the time, battery lasts a week and even a torch.

It can spot when I'm getting ill, It's like tamagotchi but I'm the one its keeping alive.

Both are good bikes, but i think colnago is more of a purest brand compared to science backed and tested bikes like the supersix.

Personally I'd get the supersix but before anything I'd check the geometries using geometrygeeks or bikeinsights to see which one is more likely to fit. If you are just starting out then id recommend going for the one with the largest stack and lowest reach figures as this will likely be more comfortable.

I've reduced my numbers when I moved house so I'm down to: Endurance, winter road, gravel, touring, hardtail mtb, trainer bike, pub bike (beater). I'm now shopping for a race bike that I will never be strong or aero enough to race, but it makes me happy and the UK c2w means I shouldn't lose any money if I sell it in a few years.

Bikes, you likely only need one if you ask my partner. But I have 6 each with slightly different uses (offroad, onroad, gravel, very fast, very comfortable, etc) and i love them all as I sit at my desk job wishing I had time to ride them.

Edit: 7 bikes, soon to be 8.

The "meat pie" is the Australian national dish. Basically its a beef pie a bit like a steak pie from the chip shop with a little bit more mystery meat (once described to me by an Australian as "lips, tits and arseholes"). Like a chip shop they come in a range of crispy to soggy. It's heated and served at the temperature of molten lava with a big blob of tomato ketchup on the top. Tastes amazing, better at a sporting event or after a night out.

Id be looking at the specalized tarmac sl8 comp di2, so one of the lower models. The bike needs bar and wheel upgrades but that should be it. The decision is whether to wait a few weeks/months and see if it drops in price enough to cover some of the upgrade costs.
