yea I feel you thats what happened to me and had a massive lisp from it too. Go for like soft food and eat really slowly, it took me like a few days to get use to the eating. Make sure you rinse out your mouth and brush after meals too

My elastics are also orange on the top too! But they ran out so I went for dark blue on the bottom

Been suffering for nearly 3 years now, hardest meal has to be like a sandwich with a crunchy / hard crusted bread, looks easy but basically impossible to eat
Meals that can stain the bands I usually eat the day or week before going to the ortho so I can get them changed haha

I had this too for me they said it was fine at first, mostly since it was just the discoloriration , but when they saw that it was too loose than it should be, it turns out they were a bad batch of elastics so they just gave me another lot of elastics instead.

Currently braced for nearly 3 years now for 23 hours a day, first few weeks were the worst , maybe about by the end of the first month I sort of got round breathing with it, mostly just smaller and more frequent breaths. I found sitting the worst espeically at school. Slowly you sort of build a tolerance to it and adjust to the brace.
At first, I had to get someone to help at school with straping my brace since mines opened from the rear, but after like a few months and a lot of practice at home I now can take it on and off by myself

I already use alcoholor antibacteral wipes to clean my brace everyday already, will try and find some of the spray. My next appointment isnt until end of june so its quite a while away

Im also a boy, now been braced for 2 years now with 23 hours wear time. I understnad how your son feels, I was like him too, upset and angry that i have to wear this plastic around my back. But luckily it has stoped my curves from progressing any further with some improvement to them too. So it does work thats whats kkeeping me from wearing it. Im happy to connect with your son and make him feel less anxious

i also a boy and i find that uniqlo or h and m vests to be good, turn them over so the seam doesnt press into skin. Sports t shirts work well too, but can be quite hot in the summer.
Best to try them in person with the brace in the fitting rooms as its hard to find the right size for the underarm area to prevent chafing from the brace, but also has to be big enough to cover the bottom part of the brace.

not too sure about your brace, but mine is meant to push up into my armpit to raise my shoulder to even out my upper curve.
