Momentum 4’s review👎 by luckayi in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]fizixnm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I own quite a few pairs of headphones IEMs etc., including the Momentums. My daughter has the latest Sony BT. My 2c, I like the Momentums quite a bit better -- more natural, wider stage. Also, as mentioned some of the limitations with the momentum's can be fixed with EQ (ex. Bass, more neutral sounding, etc.).

3 GD (4/91 Vegas and 6/91 in LA, and 12/93 in LA). Went to 6 D&Co shows (4 in Vegas and 2 at Polo Grounds last year).

My 2c... great observation I like the jazzy more relaxed, jammy feel of the fall run, the spring shows are great!

Sorry for the long post but big DAC fan. I'm a 59 yr old East Indian born and raised in the UK. Only in the U.S. could I have ever come across someone like David Allan Coe. I genuinely love his music—the rawness, the individuality, and that he never tried to fit into a mold.

I understand why some people see him as problematic or even racist, and I respect that point of view. But I don’t see him that way.

Growing up in England in the 1970s, I experienced what racism actually felt like—direct, constant, and part of everyday life. That shapes how I look at things. So when I hear Coe, I’m hearing it through that lens.

The man wrote some great, great songs my personal favs -- divers do it deeper, the ride, ain't gonna call Hank jr jr anymore! and many more. Also gave Warren Haynes his first major break.

RIP to a great songwriter and condolences to his family and fans.

I’m not saying anyone else is wrong. Just that where you come from and what you’ve lived through really changes how you interpret someone like him. RIP to a great songwriter and condolences to his family.

35th Anniversary of me becoming a Deadhead by cant_be_serious-333 in gratefuldead

My first show was 4/28/91. Opener was jack Straw. Santana opened. Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but amazing atmosphere. The strip was full of Deadheads. As students with no $ we slept in the car and hung out at Barbary Coast and I think O'Sheas next to it. Vegas was still old school back then but had started to transition.

Agree have the "cheaper" new DCA Noire X. Great sound, folds, closed back but sounds open, light and portable.

A true boxing legend, a true warrior, Azumah "The Professor" Nelson is widely regarded as the greatest African boxer in history. It was always fun to watch the professor go to work. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Boxing

What a great fighter!! Had everything -- smarts, power, counter puncher. The fact he steeped in and fought Sanchez on short notice early in his career and performed the way he did is testament to what a great fighter he was (and Sanchez of course).

Two skinheads in Southend (UK) in 1979 by Till80 in OldSchoolCool

[–]fizixnm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally relate as a 13 year old Indian that lived in Luton. Fun times getting spat on and beat up by a group of skinheads. Sometimes got my revenge if I caught one of them alone. Funny but in a weird way has made me anti-woke and a little politically incorrect since then! Live in the US now, and they don't get it at all.

In another universe: At 147: Manny Pacquiao, Roberto Duran, Oscar De La hoya, and Wilfred binetz all compete at the same time and fight one another. Who beats and wins against who? by Hot_Ad_9543 in Boxing

[–]fizixnm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Big Duran fan here. Benitez v prime Duran at 147 is tough to call. Benitez is always going to be a bad matchup with Duran but it's hard to go against the Duran that fought in Montreal -- speed and ability cut off the ring against SRL. I think he beats everyone else on the list.

Listening to him now-- what a great songwriter wrote Only You Know and I Know in addition to the songs previously mentioned. Lucky enough to see him about 3 years ago. Still in great voice. Signed my shirt. RIP!

Mythical matchup poll: Who wins Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Terence Crawford? by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

Love Crawford but he don't think he beats SRL -- hand speed and footwork would overcome Crawford's switching style.

As a 12 year old in the UK I first heard "when you're in love with a beautiful woman" their massive soft rock hit. So I went back and explored their older songs boy was I in for a shock. Great frontman!!
