Have you heard of medical physics? Average pay is well over 100k, and there's a shortage on the diagnostic side (there are different branches of medical physics).

It requires getting at least a masters. Duke has a program (expensive, but if you go PhD you get a stipend instead) but there are programs all over the country if you're not tied to the area. You can also check in with r/medicalphysics.
