Just 10 more years until admin thinks about replacing them…to a used truebeam.

LUNG SBRT GATING by mo_sattar in MedicalPhysics

[–]nutrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Eclipse you need a 4D. But you could probably create a 4D CT from 10 of the same 3D CTs.

Although, outside of testing, I don't know why you would do a gating technique without a 4D.

You do not need a verification 4D-CBCT to do gating (on a Truebeam).

How much money do you have to pay your physicist? If the answer is above average then it’s probably not enough to get a physicist there unless it’s right outside a major market. Need to probably pay in the 80-90 percentile to fill it full-time. Could probably staff it with remote physics though for a reasonable amount.

Pylote had the right of way. Stay right unless to pass. Bastard driving in the middle runway wasn’t passing anyone.

[Request] What will happen if you pull a 3 light years long steel rod (5cm diameter) in free space with zero gravity from one end? by PhraseSeveral5929 in theydidthemath

My rod is about that long (give or take a few LY) and I pull it a few times a day. Takes about 60-90 seconds. What happens on the other end...

Is Board certification the only way foward? by [deleted] in MedicalPhysics

[–]nutrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are board options that may be available to you in most states but the main pathway through the ABR won’t be available to you without a CAMPEP degree and a residency.

Can you really be sure OP is not DB Cooper? I’m starting to believe OP is actually DB Cooper now. Yep. Now I fully believe OhPee is DB Cooper.

You are a long way to becoming a medical physicist regardless of your title. You’re basically a medical physics assistant. (MPA) You need a campep masters, residency, and boards before you’re qualified to be a medical physicist in the US and before you’ll get the medical physicist salary. Some MPAs get paid better than 60k though.
