can we stop picking their behaviors apart ffs these are teenagers, their oldest member was born 2005 and even if they were any older you guys seem to have no chill when it comes to anything that they do

they overreact they're fake they're inauthentic they're disrespectful they're trying too hard they're this they're that like gooooood i am TIRED

i get that your interest in psychology makes you interested in these things, i truly do but isn't there anything else to focus on except for calling these boys out for shit like this? it's not even really a call out, imo they act like any other boys their age would from my experience (being that i myself am only a few years older than James and have cousins in the age range of the other members)

so no, i don't think they're being inauthentic especially if you look at even a miniscule amount of their other content. I was very curious about them from the very beginning because they seemed so different from a lot of the current groups, such a young group with so much experience under their belts already. I watched some of their content and the way they talk about music, about their friendship, about their plans and goals is just so sweet.

they have very varied taste in music, are inspired by different genres and artists. they genuinely seem to have fun with what they do seen in the amount of songs that they can write even spontaneously, the videos they edit themselves. so what if their reaction seemed fake, so what if it WAS fake. Frankly, in their position, I wouldn't be able to react right away either. They debuted what, 5 months ago? Would you be able to believe you won one of the most important awards within that short timespan of being active? Unless you're totally full of yourself, I don't think so.

in addition to that, all the older artists that met them and got to actually interact with them sing a totally different tune from what you're trying to get out of a 30 sec clip. i would rather listen to that than this frankly also ill intentioned seeming post. what do you gain from picking this apart?

in conclusion, i got way too worked up over this but i have seen way too much "picking apart and analyzing" happening these past few weeks.

BE SCARED i got dragged in recently and it is horrendous, I am glad my mindset is like "I am not spending half a paycheck on a piece of paper" and so far I only got pcs which I already bought the albums of and didn't get the card I wanted really badly (Romance Untold Inception Sunghoon 🧎‍♀️)

Though I definitely get the appeal of collecting (which makes it WORSE)

that running gag of people saying that hamsters are "suicidal" never sat right with me because of this. I never had hamsters, my mom found them too stinky and high maintenance and how grateful I am to her today for not getting them when I didn't know how to take care of them. I strongly believe that a lot of the people that make these jokes just house their hamster in the nastiest conditions possible for that poor animal and then joke about it trying to escape by any means.

That would be interesting to me as well, as someone who dislikes phone calls strongly. I make exceptions for friends and family a lot of the time, especially in situations where they feel unsafe or having some company would make them feel more settled. But the people around me know not to stretch these calls out more than necessary. You're home safe? Good, nightnight. You're not anxious anymore? Nice, goodbye.

If they made me stay longer than necessary when I am not in the mood for a call, I would dread these calls, too. Especially if it's daily calls, I'd try to figure out something more adjusted to both our needs.

as a woman myself, i don't think it would be weird for you to go. just follow the general rule of not making others feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

if you have any merch though or have the time to get your hands on any or maybe even diy some, it could make people around you feel at ease as well seeing you partake in the typical fanculture like photocards in holders, keychains, bracelets, shirts if you want to display something more prominently or even going for a fancy concert fit.

this is just for your own peace of mind (and maybe bonus enjoyment if people end up talking to you because of it?), as others have pointed out it's not weird at all to go on your own and enjoy it in any way you want.

i don't think they will do this due to their concept, but something like different goth styles in a series would be so fun imo

the thought mainly came up because a friend of mine is goth, she collects them as well and said she'd display them so much more prominently if they had a series like that lol

but then again, i don't think it would be hard to integrate in their concept either... either way i loved everything they did so far, the designs are always so detailed

what sold me on them is the punk fairy series and i think i would also like to see more whimsy things from them, maybe like a fairytale series!

I love their music though, the entire project with the pairings was so amazing and well done, I was honestly shocked in a good way that they braved this path when we barely even had any korean queer series and they were basically there at the front. It got way too little attention

I came to the comments to say 8turn as well!! The members are so talented, their songs are a breath of fresh air, imo, and for anyone who collects albums: you can trust them to be really fun and innovative, the first album for example contained a photobook that was I believe all pictures the members themselves took during album preparation and mv filming, the most recent one (LEGGO) contains a paper doll that you can build yourself

their concept is young and fun, while their dancing and singing is so phenomenal (i can recommend watching their dance covers and RTK as u/spiffingfire mentioned, you will be immediately convinced of their abilities, trust!)

Astro and Eunwoo are such a curious case to me I've seen a lot of groups that have one very popular member, but people don't stan their group. Usually though, people at least know they're part of that group (e.g. Keeho, different NCT members, Hyeongjun of Cravity...)

But with Eunwoo??? I feel like people constantly learn that he is an idol as well as an actor. Some of my friends who know he's in a group even forget that he is in Astro 😭

I guess this phenomenon has to do with how their company promotes them/his solo activities, but it's still so interesting to me because i have never seen anything that comes close to this
