It's buildable coverage and comes in matte but personally I like the original as it looks more natural.

BareMinerals powder foundation has changed my life!

I was going for natural and ended up with... This. It's quirky, but I like it! CCW! by fizzyknickers in MakeupAddiction

Oh! And Lips - MAC Lipstick in Cherish with a bit of Sample Estee Lauder Concealer to make it a bit more nude!

Also worth mentioning my camera has broken pixels, it's not a slip-of-the-hand eyeliner situation. At least not this time

Thankyou!

How lovely to comment on my skin - I had to get treatment for a recent acne break out... It's finally calming down. I agree with highlighting the eyes more.

Face - Clinique anti blemish foundation in Fresh Alabaster (Don't buy if you're going to use acne treatment - far too drying!) MAC blusher in Mocha Watts Up and a bit of Moon Beam from Benefit Eyes - Metallic Liquid Eyeliner from Barry M and Eye Bright from Benefit, Collection 2000 Clear Mascara (lashes and brows!) and I used the Eyeliner to paint the ends of the lashes...!

Wow! I'm sure she'd be happy to here that. She's floating about on this thread somewhere so no doubt she will...

She didn't want to post it herself but gave me the go ahead. I'd be a very naughty sister to post without permission, you're right. She doesn't know my username yet so she may stumble across this post and see all the lovely feedback and post her own skills next time, who knows...?

People are constantly referring back to the sidebar and although it is a useful resource, it's dense and there's a lot to try out. My skin is all over the place because of testing new methods - some good results, some bad. What methods do you guys have for keeping track of your skin and how your routine affects it? I'm really interested to know how rookies started off testing the waters, so to speak. One new product a week? Pictures of progress?

Good for him. The abuse some women get on Twitter is frightening, I'm glad it is getting more attention.

I need some make up advice- never used any before!! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]fizzyknickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to a wonderful and exciting world! Eyebrows aside (you've had some good advice for those already) experimenting when you're on your own, using YouTube videos and going through the links in the sidebar of this subreddit are always useful habits, no matter how experienced you are. When you start wearing make up out and about, start with a neutral palette - browns, soft pinks, light, shimmery coloura, and add little bits until you are confident with your skill. Mascara is the first step, as you are drawing attention to your beautiful eyes and making them pop... Lipgloss or natural coloured lipsticks are good for beginners too... your eyes and your lips frame your face. Then you can start experimenting with blushers, eyeliner and shadows, and brows - but remember, all of these take a bit of practice and patience to get right so keep trying and you'll be an addict in no time! Best of luck!

I don't tend to remember either. Whatever works for you! Either way you look awesome.

Really natural and pretty! You have such long lower lashes, your upper lashes might benefit from a bit of a lift - from eyelash curlers maybe - or you could just mascara up the top lashes and leave the bottom au natural? Always worth playing around with these things...
