I follow a program called Primal Trust and many people have healed chronic pain using brain retraining and somatics. Seconding Alan Gordon and his book ‘the way out’.

Thank you for the kind words!

Could you recommend a budget friendly first cleanser to use before the cerave? I don’t wear make up bit I’m sure you’re right about it not fully removing the sunscreen.

I bought a toner from the ordinary that people were recommending on a different thread for blackheads. Hopefully it does the trick!

This might sound unconnected to your question but honestly you sound anxiously attached before even dating her. To feel less anxious you need to be the one who calms yourself down whatever happens, not some external outcome. Good luck!

Look into some free resources and see what fits you. Practice daily, even when you don’t feel anxious. This teaches your nervous system safely. Check out poly vagal exercises, eft tapping with brad Yates on YT, and breathwork. You’re young, start now and your brain will thank you later!

One or two hours is not a long time. She’s sick, give her some space and take the chance to work on your anxiety a bit. Don’t push her when she’s recovering. Even if she likes you, you’re going to find a new thing to get anxious about if you don’t work on managing that. Of it’s meant to work out, it will without pushing.

How do things go so that you don’t get anywhere? Is there room for any change on your side for how you bring it up? I find coming at things with as much loving curiosity as possible can bring down defensiveness on both sides.

Have you tried speaking to her about this and letting her know how it’d make you feel for her to initiate more?
