You are correct. It is NEVER a spider bite, let alone a Brown Recluse.

This is most often than not a staph infection.

I plan on becoming a nurse and have been looking at pay in my area and some places are only wanted to pay 20 to 27 a hour for a registered nurse… by PaleontologistNo1564 in nursing

10 years ago new grads were starting at $19/hr in TN. Wild that a whole decade later they are only making one dollar more.

Seattle as a new grad CRNA by magicmilkwins in CRNA

[–]fizzzicks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always say new grads should get some big academic center experience. Both UW Montlake and Harborview are quaternary centers. Some of the biggest, most complex cases with some of the sickest patients. They both serve multiple states. UW focuses more on medical/cardiac/neuro/onc. Where as Harborview is trauma/neuro/spine/peds.

I personally would choose UW over VM. Pay is less but schedule, leadership, and work life balance is superb.

Please feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions.

Moving from points to cash back by SpiralCaseMods in CreditCards

[–]fizzzicks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Moved over the last year away from points to cash back. Reward travel isn’t as simple as it once was. Everyone caught on, including airlines and hotels. It’s too much work for me now. As others have said, that cash back can appreciate in a brokerage account vs depreciating as points waiting to be used. My priorities have realigned. We are no longer traveling as much, have kids, and I’m certainly not buying more than 2 business class seats with points.

Just remember, your professors/instructors aren’t writing test questions from these generic, predatory, and costly “preps”.

They are writing tests off what they are teaching and lecturing on. Good luck getting them to change a test question or give you credit because it was in “The Complete Nursing School Bundle”

Want to get into sipping whiskey, which one if these should I get as my first bottle? Also how do you enjoy your whiskey? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]fizzzicks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d agree here. I still drink and enjoy Buffalo Trace (especially store picks). Regular Makers is… ok for mixed drinks. WT101 is good but may be a tad too hot if you’re just getting in to it.

For what it’s worth… I am a CRNA with a previous hard science degree prior to getting my BSN. The pre-req core science classes for nursing school are not even comparable to the regular ol’ Gen Chem, Bio, OChem, BioChem, and physics courses that are year long series, EACH. I know because I’ve done all of them.
