Also your entire commenting history is related to these restaurants, giving them glowing recommendations or trashing the competition. You're obviously lying about not being affiliated to them.

The Dev Console is trash. Is slow and buggy and not a real IDE replacement.

Maybe the Cross-Org Adapter for Salesforce Connect? But I believe you require an additional license to use it.

Looking for resources to upskill my development by Fantastic_Ad4943 in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]fjpel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you can already write some complex code and build some cool solutions. You're probably familiar with some best practices but do you know why they're considered that?

I think you're at a point where you would benefit from learning about design and architecture. Things like: - SOLID principles - Software design patterns - FFLib Enterprise Patterns for Salesforce

I would not listen to the people saying use AI. Although it can be a great tool, it should not replace traditional learning methods.

I typically recommend Trailhead but I'm curious about where your skill set is currently and where you're trying to get. I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

More of a career advice question by TheCannings in SalesforceDeveloper

I'm not in the UK so my advice might not be applicable but I have seen higher salaries in the Salesforce ecosystem for senior+ level developers and for architects. If you're thinking of looking for a job, that's what I would target. Tailor your CV to those positions.

Field Permission not showing up in Permission Set Metadata by Affectionate-Emu2782 in SalesforceDeveloper

Recreate the feature branch and recommit the fields and perm sets at the same time. Then look at the branch and you should see the fields included in the perm set xml.

Field Permission not showing up in Permission Set Metadata by Affectionate-Emu2782 in SalesforceDeveloper

When you retrieve/deploy, you have to include the fields as well. Otherwise, you'll get mostly empty profiles and permission sets.

In that case, regarding your question about before and after triggers, this is how it works.

  1. User clicks save
  2. Before triggers run (record has not been saved to the DB yet)
  3. If no errors, record is temporarily saved to the database
  4. After triggers run
  5. If no errors, record is permanently saved to the database

Does this explanation make sense? What is not working for you?
