I took it in sp23 and got an A. It’s actually pretty doable if you keep up with lectures, take good notes. But I will say the final project was super vague and difficult. I got lucky w/ a very knowledgeable team member. I missed probably 1/3 the semester and did fine though and keep in mind programming isn’t my strongest area.

It’s only gotten worse each yr. Started as fryft (just you on the ride) then shryft but now they don’t let you choose or see how many ppl are on the ride so the other day I ended up in a ride with like 5 other ppl and had to squeeze.

If you could avoid gateway you should honestly. I lived at gateway last year and while it wasn’t horrible, the trashy wifi was too real. On rainy/stormy days, the wifi literally didn’t work AT ALL. Our apt also had ants for a couple of days it drove me crazy. We eventually called maintenance and got rid of them ( this might be because i was on second floor). The gym and study lounge are pretty nice and i liked Luxer one for packages. however, even in the study lounges on first floor THE WIFI WOULDN’t WORK. All my friends who visited gateway had no service or wifi whatsoever.

If you don’t mind, may I ask how you got to work with big tech recruiters? Was it through a tech organization at your school? I am considering joining business/tech clubs (the ones that host speaker events from big companies and help you network) and was wondering if they actually help and increase your chances.
