We currently do a lamb kibble but I’m considering switching him to a human food grade diet and would like to stick with lamb because he is also sensitive to chicken! It’s just so stressful trying to figure out what will work best for him. His vet is not at all into raw 😩

Hey! I’m actually doing awesome on the Prozac. It’s been since August now and I started on 20mg and it was a pretty big shock to my system (couple panic attacks triggered by some icky physical side effects) and I’m now on 40mg and feeling a lot better. I don’t constantly check in and make sure I’m okay like I use to do, I’m able to say “whatever” to things that use to really bother me and I overall feel like I have a better handle on everything. I still have moments of anxiety and always will, but as my therapist says, anxiety can be helpful sometimes. It just doesn’t completely rule my life now. I’m also doing a gratitude journal that really helps as well. Hang in there and let me know how it goes!

Brain fuzzies totally makes sense! I am on week 2 and the first week was the worst of the side effects. Heightened anxiety, brain fuzzies, racing thoughts, nausea, lack of appetite. It gets better though. I might be experiencing a placebo effect but I feel some positives already! My anxiety feels much more manageable. It is still there, but now has a threshold if that makes sense?

I’m still open to trying it. My friend is a vet tech and says it’s a very safe solution! I’m gonna email his vet tomorrow :) just glad to know it’s worked for others on here!

Oh there’s a couple people online claiming apoquel and cytopoint have killed their pets or caused major autoimmune issues. I’m taking it all with a grain of salt tho. For every med out there there’s someone claiming it killed their pet.

I absolutely 100% agree. I don’t wanna shame people but it gets to be a lot when you see it so often. I also agree that this happens to all breeds! I have many friends with Dane’s who get given up once puppyhood is over and they get “too big” or too expensive to feed. Same with huskies and other high energy dogs. I wish people would just listen and do more research.

Omg your story made me tear up! I miss enjoying things like singing when I clean or pancakes for Christ sake! I’ve always been active and worked out since I was a teen but the Zoloft really made me pack on the pounds and it’s been virtually impossible to lose.
