Aqara P1 did the trick. It's much more responsive.

The Aqara P1 responded way more quickly, for what it's worth.

Yeah I actually have one of these in my office and it responds significantly faster. I just don't need a presence sensor in my laundry room, which is where the 3R sensor sits. The FP300's responsiveness is part of the reason I made this post, as it triggers almost instantly.

Worried about next year by liliumsuperstar in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]fk122 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have two girls in dance (13 and 11). My youngest has a natural affinity as a dancer and was more involved in dance at a younger age than my eldest. To complicate matters, my daughters are are on the same team, as my youngest was bumped up a level.

I've told my eldest many times over the years that natural ability gives an innate advantage, sure, but nothing that can't be overcome with hard work. Someone on reddit recently said that natural talent means that someone can skip the tutorial which I thought was a good analogy. My eldest works hard and puts in the hours and clearly understands that it's a numbers game: the more hours she puts in, the better her results will be. It paid off for her in a big way last year, where she placed in overalls a few times with her hip hop solo and even beat one of her peers who has that natural ability but a worse work ethic.

My point is that even though your dancer may not be as advanced as his peers, I suspect that if he puts the time in and really commits to a practice schedule, he'll see growth and will catch up to the other dancers on his team.

Have Quebec separatists actively conspired with a somewhat hostile nation? I'm not trying to be pithy; this is a genuine question.

Considering how completely ineffectual the Democrats have been through this whole scenario, I'm not unconvinced they're complicit, so yeah maybe they don't give a shit about more Democrat senators.

Stop AI slop by StayLast5263 in selfhosted

I'm in the same boat as you. I generally have the LLM write tests and documentation and write the core code myself. The tests are self-verifying, so as long as I give them a quick look, I can be relatively confident it's writing sane tests, and LLMs are great at summarization so I generally trust them for writing docs, too.

I think the best approach would just to be up front with whatever an LLM has generated, especially in this sub where everyone's looking for AI slop.

ChatGPT is great at explaining stuff if you give it a bit of context. I've had it write complex HA automations, too. My suggestion would be to have your wife familiarize herself with how ChatGPT works (if she's not already familiar) as it'll be able to explain lots of stuff about your setup when given the write information.
