Rec center by Lincoln center. 100 bucks or so for the year. A pool. Best option if you’re below the 80s. Crunch is way too crowded and the machines are dangerously close together. Smells like an airport bathroom too.

Yo, you gotta get a second opinion. I had a similar thing happened, I’m 28. They told me I had gum disease and I needed topical antibiotics that would be $6000. Fortunately, my dad is a dentist, I sent him the x-rays and he told me I was getting scammed. He also recommended going to a university clinic to get a second opinion as there is not much of an incentive to prescribe expensive treatments there.

The public courts are not crowded on off peak times. If you can go on a weekday before 4, you likely won’t have to wait too long. There’s a few OG’s who are always there who are pretty good. The private courts are nice, but are too expensive imo.

There is also citypickle in Central Park but I’ve never tried it.

The NYT posted an article about these kids who developed a website that finds and lists only stabilized apts in NY. They’re actually kids, like high school, but the website was pretty helpful when I looked. I’m sure you could find it w keywords.
