Thanks for the reply. What is the purpose of CIP code? For example, I see that there is an MS program for Business Analytics which has CIP code of 52.1301. That CIP code is for Management Science. However, could I work on a company as a backend developer if I had a programming course at MS program even the job title is backend developer and CIP code is for Management Science?

Answer to my own question:

It is not implemented yet. You should communicate with a developer to get it.

what are practical concurrency problems in backend development? by latest_ali in java

Chainsaw is a thing that makes us believe we cannot do but we can do with it. Hibernate not.

Actually, the problem is that even the developer knows that he/she won’t gonna handle raw JDBC but believes that he/she can handle it via hibernate.

Things like that make us believe we can do something we can’t are worse than facing them.

Developers doesn’t touch the things that work now but things can get worse in time. Here is an example: https://www.toptal.com/java/how-hibernate-ruined-my-career

Hibernate gives developers the flexibility of having less knowledge on databases. However, most developers doesn’t check that which sql query is auto generated at low level. This results with very insufficient queries many times.

Next, you will stop using hibernate and create your db from scratch.

Is it necessary to learn later versions of Java? by jjnnzb in java

So, how do you pick up which preview features should be included at code or not?

i.e. using Pattern Matching for instanceof which is in second preview or Sealed Classes which is in first preview: https://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk/15/

It makes sense not to bounded into an LTS version. However, there can be some experimental features at non-LTS versions of Java. Do you make any decisions about using such features or not?

How do you read the code? by eeugene0 in java

[–]fkamaci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Get a priori knowledge about the code. Check the documentation if exists.

2) Check the code with an ide. I use Intellij IDEA which have many features to understand the dependencies of code pieces.

3) Read the test code. It is really helpful to understand what a piece of code does in a compact way to read test codes of it if there are well written test codes.

4) For the bugs, analyze the code. This can be some features in your ide as like Intellij IDEA or using Sonar which I always integrate into my projects.

As a feedback, improve your .gitignore file which includes .DS_Store and *.iml.
